    my teacher teach me differently.

  • check out the keyboard vids by Malcos

    watch?v=gp9FF1Bx_4o

    Excellent piano Vids

  • so triads are 3 notes where you have to skip every other one? or can triads also be like (Abc) ??

  • @shshinshel573 Usually a triad is where you skip every other note. But it could technically refer to abc as well (tri meaning 3). People just don't usually don't do that. CFG might be a more common triad where the notes don't always skip. That's called Csus4.

  • @M0rganstudios I am so glad you know all of this... other wise I would be clueless!!! :( but thank you!! :)

  • lol dunno if you realised the first time you tapped the g, you said it was a c :P still good video 'thumbs up'

  • @eruption101 haha that's been up for over 2 years and ur the first person to notice that, including myself ^^

  • thanks.. very helpful.. :)

  • Man thank you I've been trying everything I could to figure out what all the notes were and where they went... I just got one for my birthday!! :)

  • Yo, post what chords you were playing on your French Horns video, those were epic!

  • yeh thanks, i learnt quite abit from this, ill be watching the rest of yours tuts and playing along..

  • I'll try this for sure, it'll be my first though, harhar. tnx for the turors

  • What about the black notes

  • black notes in chords? I don't go over that till later. Gets too confusing. Part 15 is where I introduce them.

  • @M0rganstudios i have a piano sheet but i cant difer the notes drawn on those lines. perhaps you would do tutorial on the music sheet notes :D

  • @timothysoh Check out part 11. "Notes on the Treble and Bass clefs"

  • @M0rganstudios hi i just wanna ask that the white buttons (notes) are know as c,d,e,f,g,a,b then what the black buttons call (notes)?

  • @sauravmishra1017 Those are sharps and flats like Ab, A#, C#, Db, etc. Check out "Sharps, Flats, and the Chromatic Scale (Kybd Tut #15)"

  • @sauravmishra1017 Those are sharps and flats like Ab, A#, C#, Db, etc. Check out Tutorial #15.

  • @M0rganstudios thanks....

  • thanks, Im going to learn the keyboard as I'm already a drummer, very helpfull!

  • are those the basic positions for chords?

  • yep :)

  • you should show us how to play diffrent positions to all the basic chords and is it "stand by me" by John Lennon?

  • I believe Stand By me is by Ben E King. It has a cool bass line but you wouldn't play it in triads like you do Lean on Me.

  • Lean On Me by Bill Withers, Club Nouveau remade it in the 80's.

  • thing is, i understand lol but when im looking on google how to play songs, its says things like....Ab Cm, lol i dno what they are, can you tell me please :D

  • I explain all that in the tutorials. Too big of a subject for comments.

  • (move to part 2 vid and keep going, I have a playlist on my channel)

  • im learning how 2 play the keyboard now thanks for the help!!!

    xx

    x the only thing you didnt tell us was that all our fingers have a number...

    tumbs=1

    index=2

    middle=3

    one before pinkie=4

    pinkie=5

  • I dont get it. I must watch it over and over XP

  • hey I can't wait to show my hubby I can play a song. he he

  • tekniklypro you have to know the basis of the music industry before you can even play, i mean if you dont know your sharps or your flats either F C G D A E B, and B E A D G C F, then i don't think this would work out for you, M0rgan you should give a tutorial for flats and such if possible.

  • I already have a video with sharps and flats in it. It's later in the series. They don't need them at this point. This is only the second lesson in the whole series!! XD

  • idk how much you know about a piano, and im not claiming to know everything, but a triad is not a chord. a general rule for chords is in "steps", including black notes. the general rule is 4 half steps, (a half step is white note to black note) to your first key, then 3 half steps to your second key. no metter which note yo u start with on the piano it always works this way.

  • Yes I know this, I'm not going that far with it at this point, to not confuse people. I don't introduce chromatics until much later. I don't think I ever equate triad to chord. There's lots of chords that aren't triads for sure, then there's arpeggios of course. I actually have a degree in music theory from UNT.

  • lol ok, just making sure you weren't confusing anyone. you know more about piano than me, i just piss around and learn from youtube :P

  • The song is called Lean On Me, not Stand By Me, lol but still great video

  • Lol...haha..you're right! wtf was I thinking?

  • awesome man, thanks for the help

  • thanks alot!!!!!i started learning how to play the piano on sunday, your videos are really help full, thanks alot =]

  • Fantastic. I'm just learning to use my keyboard and ... I found things alot more complicated then I realized it would be. Cannot wait for more videos, I suddenly have more confidence after a simple explanation from you. (MUCH simpler then wikipedia...)

  • love it man this helped my piano and typing skills so much plz post more video tutorials plz

  • Thanks, I'm gald it's helping! I will definitely post more. Might be a bit of time though cause of Christmas, and the fact that we're abot to move to a new house :)

    But who knows? maybe I'll sneak one in somewhere in there.
