Obama is a pretty good public speaker, and he does promise change, but what is he really going to do to bring about that change? I'll be honest, and while I'm not so much a single issue voter, the Right to Keep and Bear arms is a big one to me, and I would never support a candidate that wishes to infringe upon that right so guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America. Unfortunately, Obama has made it fairly clear that he wishes nobody to own any firearms whatsoever.
No one's taking your gun away from you. Put things into perspective and try to understand the types of change he is proposing. He is trying to keep American jobs afloat for example by ending tax breaks to companies that outsource workers from other countries, thereby loosing jobs for Americans. McCain is not the same person he was in 2000. I am a Democrat but if McCain had been the Republican nominee in 2000, I would have voted for him. He seemed to be a true patriot that cared more about our country than anything else. He reached across the isle many times with the best interests of our country as the basis for his decisions and actions. However, he has morphed into a typical politician that consistently seems to be putting his loyalty to his party above all else. What a shame!

By no means, though, am I comfortable with McCain either. He puts on this optimistic air in his ads, and yet, from what I know of him before his candidacy, it's quite the contrary.
