I like the move, but it doesn`t look like the tawara gaeshi I learned or the other videos of tawara gaeshi on youtube...

Yeah, it's kind of a variation. Not a traditional rice bale which I would never use in competition cause it may look like a double leg throw. In Kashiwazaki's book he uses this fry-pan variationthe same way but he grabs the head as well like a headlock.
