There were never plans for a The Watcher spin-off. A "Faith the Vampire Slayer" series was considered, as was a "Ripper" mini-series for the BBC. Neither of these panned out.
Ok so Buffy did for like 2 mins in season one and then Xander brought Buff back to life so kendra was called to be the slayer. after Kendra died Faith was the slayer so if Faiths dies that means another slayer would be called so Buffy is basicly off the slayer chain so when buffy dies no slayer is called not until Faith dies...I hope that makes sense
It could be even though the line was now abolished. But there could have been another slayer activated during Buffy's 2nd death, she just might not have gone to Sunnydale. But the series never implied that another slayer was activated or that one was never activated. :/
Buffy's 2nd death didn't activate a new slayer. The first time she died, and Kendra was called, the line stopped running through her. Then Kendra died and Faith (Yay Faith!) was called. The slayer line runs through her.

@KutieKat12345 : True, but she spent most of season 6 in a state of total confusion. Season 6 finale changed that, but it seemed a bit "too little, too late".
Season 7, though, made her much more action-oriented. I approved of that character evolution. Better than keeping her as the damsel in distress.

Well glad for that, but i don't in mop she was the one that killed buffy. If she hadn't screamed spike he would've been able to defeat doc, but i did love buffy's death. So props to dawn for killing buffy, it was so heartbreaking < 3

i just watched the season finale of buffy season 5 last night. even though i know willow brings her back i was like NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! i just wanna watch the 1st episode and be like ahhhh buffy's back alive. i wish buffy was still on today cause buffy is like so awesome!!!!!!

I thought there was like...7series's? lol i have them all on DVD i like to watch them over and over i wish they could of just stopped at the 9th series then have the ending where xander and everyone of them dies. so you know that there will never be a buffy again instead of having an ending where "how does it feel like to be a normal girl again buffy..?" and giles mentioning theres another in balbalabla that just convinces people that there will be another buffy

The ending was amazing and it fit the show well.
When Giles said there was another hellmouth in Clevland, he wasn't lying. This was actually brought up in season 3 The Wish.
so, I don't think it was trying to make you think there was another season left. Most people knew this was it.

There were never plans for a The Watcher spin-off. A "Faith the Vampire Slayer" series was considered, as was a "Ripper" mini-series for the BBC. Neither of these panned out.

Ok so Buffy did for like 2 mins in season one and then Xander brought Buff back to life so kendra was called to be the slayer. after Kendra died Faith was the slayer so if Faiths dies that means another slayer would be called so Buffy is basicly off the slayer chain so when buffy dies no slayer is called not until Faith dies...I hope that makes sense

It could be even though the line was now abolished. But there could have been another slayer activated during Buffy's 2nd death, she just might not have gone to Sunnydale. But the series never implied that another slayer was activated or that one was never activated. :/

Buffy's 2nd death didn't activate a new slayer. The first time she died, and Kendra was called, the line stopped running through her. Then Kendra died and Faith (Yay Faith!) was called. The slayer line runs through her.
