We had lots of industries here where I live but now they are all gone, two more leaving this year and I am struggling to keep my home. I broke my foot and was out of work for to long. So that caused me to think of what has happen through the years because of congress

That was the big change of the 90's. More and more people became self

employed. Which made the 2000-2009 liveable. Even with my small company me and the wife worked (as well as my hourly job) made good money. but our small company worked directly with banks and their foreclosed homes (property preservation), even with all the new foreclosures, banks are not spending any money on preservation. We shut it down and layed everyone off.

Then I was layed off from the hourly job.

@sjhmdinwood - No, watch it again - at 0:40 it said that Kennedy's Senate win "was not certified until weeks after he was sworn into office". The Senate did not wait for certification, and when someone is elected by a clear majority, I don't think there is any need to. If one of the candidates wins with a clear majority, the Senate should swear him/her in this week, but if recounts are needed, they should wait for official certification.
