@FalconAkuma93 Actually, Platinum Games claims that it is technically a sequel. It has a very different style of gameplay, but that doesn't mean it's a spinoff necessarily. Final Fantasy frequently changes it's combat system, and it's sequels aren't considered spinoffs.

For example, reading some of the comments on this video back when I first watched it over a year ago, some comments looked like they were responding to someone, but had no direct link to the original comment. I'm not sure if you've been on youtube long enough to remember that, but that's how it used to be.
