I'd to tell you, but It's too long. Buy the book: Half-life: Raising the Bar. It's not exactly as the game, but has alot of comparisons. Another thing is, search for half-life at Wikipedia, It'll help even more!

@danbarnosu at begining..theres an experiment gone wrong at the Black Mesa (A Giant Lab that Freeman works in)..that experiment triggers a horde of zombies, mutants etc. They came from one green portal..than u fight them..than when u find out that soldiers that need to rescue u..thay get orders to kill every body in Black Mesa..than u fight soldiers..than u go back to the portal..and dicide to go in it and kill all the zombies mutants etc. any way thats all u need to know
