SUE PEOPLE IF IT'S REMOTELY FUNNY

  • @ArkiveX vRAVAGED is NOT American, if that's to whom you were referring.

  • What did I watch?

  • @vRAVAGED This was made during the 60's. Of course it's not going to look amazing. That was the whole point of the show.

  • I liked it best when it started with John Cleese's serious voice, like this. The other voices he did were funny, but i like how the seriousness contrasts with everything about the show.

  • IT'S...

  • BROKEN LIZARD'S FLYING CIRCUS

  • @Bestmanme08 Correct, Benny Hill is way funnier than Monty Python. Not To Put Down Python, as they are incredibly funny. But Benny Hill is the most successful british comedian and when people think of british comedy the words "Benny Hill" are more familiar than "monty python"

  • I remember watching this, it was really scary sometimes.

  • We'll climb both peeks of Mt Kilimanjaro.

  • The animations are very very creepy.

  • lol i love it how they can put nudety :D lol

  • i wish they would show this at tv, not some crappy tv "comedy" they do nowadays

  • Guess which game has this as the meny theme?

  • Love it, Monty Python Rocks!! Funny Brits!

    " it's "

  • I read that BBC didnt like the name MPFC, and only put up with it because they threatened to change the name every week until they got their way. Typical. ;-)

  • Terry Gilliam is my GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and now for something completely different!

  • @NickInfante92

A man with a tape recorder up his nose

  • Wow, finally I get to see what other people was saying about Monty Python's Flying Circus. Thx for the upload!

  • and now to something completely different!^^

  • this has to be funnist show ever.

  • And the liberal use of full frontal nudity ...

  • did you know the giant foot comes from a cupid painting?

  • I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!

  • No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!!! Sorry, I had to say that.

  • No problem... I acually wanted someone to say that.

  • Terry Gilliam's animations were an extreme highlight of this show, in my opinion.

  • john cleese dressed up as the "neighbour" looks soo funny ...love this sketch

    love monty pythhon lol

  • That's no ordinary rabbit!

  • @vigo894

    You're using coconuts!

  • Oh, I'm srry, is this a five minute argument, or a full half hour? Ha ha ha.

  • (Looks toward sky)

Bunch of monkeys on the ceiling, sir! Grab your egg-and-fours and let's get the bacon delivered!

  • Oh, come on! Havent you you guys ever seen the RAF Banter Sketch... it's in series 4!

  • i mean this version of the liberty bell march, im talkin to mdumas43073

  • I have a copy of this version, it originally came from an LP of Sousa's marches played by the band of the Coldstream Guards and recorded in about 1968.

  • Comment removed

  • "The Liberty Bell March"

    Sousa

  • what's this song called?, i can't seem to find the name of it anywhere :P

  • John Philip Sousa "The Liberty Bell"

  • ah great, thanks !

  • I'm playing this march in school band!! The whole time I'm playing, I keep thinking of the foot. XD

  • Comment removed

  • What are you trying to pull? You're only getting people's anger for that.

  • Its a matter of opinion. I watched the first series one day and didn't find it funny. However, it started to grow on me and in the end I found it hilarious.

The animations are just meant to be random little scenes between each sketch and nothing more.

As for the 'lame sense of humour' I guess thats all peoples opinions. Some of it is pretty crude but others are extremely funny.

    Monty Python for life

  • They chose Liberty Bell because it was in the public domain so they wouldn't have to pay to use it. Even here in America, the piece is most associated with Python.

  • Its...*foot slams down"

That was the best beginning ever.

  • This is pretty much the apex of modern humor distilled in television form. Well, this and Fawlty Towers.

  • And both, British comedies with John Cleese in it.

He is a true walker of the silly walks. X-D

  • 0:25 ROTFLOL!!!

  • hogs of war :D

  • yeaaaa man......hogs of war...hahahaha I love that game its soooo funny.......pigs of wars xDxDxD

  • i think monty python is great, along with black adder and other BRITTISH, not american siries, and i watched monty python and minestery of silly walks and i loved it!!!

  • Finland, Finland, Finland would be a great video.

  • Terry Gilliam's animation is always a joy to watch. Too weird for words!

  • Well it is "The Liberty Bell" by John Phillip Sousa 009090 so your gonna hear it everwhere

  • i've always love the animation intro. =O)

  • Monty Python is the best sketch show ever. Fact. To whoever compared it to SNL, sir, you are a buffoon.

  • fantastic. Still better.

  • @stairwaytoinfinite What's SNL?

  • @Martinntoxx Saturday Night Live :-)

  • Oh you know what's funny? Several years later on a japanese kids show you can faintly hear the theme in the background outside of an amusement park.

  • I tell the truth about Benny Hill being considered greater than Monty Python!

  • heh its funny how this is the american gantz ball song either american or uk

  • Why does this British show have Liberty Bell as a theme song?

  • Perhaps it's because they liked it.

  • Because it was public domain, and they didn't have any money to spend on their own theme.

  • Thats funny and most likely true

  • @greenqueen312 cause its awesome!

  • What? No farty sound?

  • wasn't there in the first season.

  • here here, huhuhuhhmhmhmh, why yes (low mumbly british accent)

  • telivision at its most absurd.

    beautiful

  • Splat!

  • the animations are...abstract?

  • Hell yeah-They're called,"Gillianimations",after Python and their animator,Terry Gilliam. He was American,yay!

  • Why the hell have you been down-marked at least 6 times?? yes Terry Gilliam was American, but he was also a Python?? I don't get it? And for you staunch Britons out there who see this as a totally British thing that Americans wont get, There are many Americans that get Monty Python, and I've met a few!! Can I also say that I'm British! :P

  • I'm American, and I get the humor.

  • Well there are some more obscure jokes/gags that Americans can't appreciate like an Englishman. Stuff like geographical jokes, dialects, stuff like that might be more difficult for us to pick up but.. yeah not sure where I was going with all that. D:

Anyways, love Monty Python and grew up in the midwest US.

  • The music is actually John Philip Sousa's march 'Liberty Bell'.

I don't recal Sousa including the farty sounds, however.

  • Everybody loves Monty Python.
