I actually feel really sorry for him at the end :'(
Is that strange?
Funny, though. In the last two days I have watched series' 19, 20 and 21 of Never Mind the Buzzcocks (when he's the presenter) and now I want to keep watching this!
Oh my God. Why do all Jewish mothers make their children do little "tricks"? THANK YOU, SIMON, for writing the dysfunctional family that makes me feel a little less alone. Hugs and a cookie.
@guhrrlno It was! Simon was on a kids show when he was younger and did an impression of Dame Edna and he gets reminded of it all the time. He really doesn't like it. :D
@EminemShowxo Yes! I have since seen the clip of the actual impression as a kid and it was cringe-worthy. God bless him. All these folk that say how arrogant he is oughta recognize he is clearly taking the piss out of himself in a big way. Can't wait for the next series.
Not bad. I had heard pretty good reviews of this, but I have to say between this and Friday Night dinner are all london based jewish families like this? There seems to be a unique brand of nit picking jewish women and slightly absent minded father figure types that seem to proliferate at present.
I think that this was very much Simon's reality growing up.
It would be a stretch to say that all Jewish families are like this but as a lot of comedy comes from family disfunction it may be safe to say that Simon Amstell and Robert Popper's families were like this.
this show is so awesome!!!! i love it!!. i hope there's more. where do i find it? THANK GOD FOR YOUTUBE!!! by the way i'm in the USA, so i have no idea where to find this show on television.
@joeearlobe 'didn't hit anyone' -- seems to short to say all of that sounded more like "didn't hit 'em", but thats sorta what the beginning sounds like and it would make sense as to why they all were silent about it since he is known to have killed someone while driving.
He says "I did hit a--" then he pauses as he eats and everyone looks expectantly at him to say homeless person or something but he says " lot of traffic"
@toetappinggoodness damn, i am just getting bombarded with this. I'm sorry for being so wrong on this, hah but yeah that definitely makes even more sense! thanks everyone for fixing my original guess. haha
Thanks so much for posting this.

@joeearlobe He says "Did hit a...." and then pauses to finish his mouthful before continuing. That's why they all look at him so funny:P

@jettison27 In part1 his mum says: "Stop it now, you're like a 12year old!" I only just realised that now though, the 4th time watching this:|

Is there a particular reason he says "I'm only 12"?
