  • This, the Sienna, and the Corolla were the last good cars Toyota made.

  • what tires you was using ? all season or snow tires ? what brand ? thanks

  • @royclung I had Michelins AT Long trail I believe which are all season. good traction on all surfaces and very quiet on the road.

  • I loved it, but I don't have it anymore. I traded in for a Tacoma with more power for towing. The Highlander was Limited so it had all I wanted in it.

  • @toyota4life94 its V6 AWD

  • This is also some VERY MILD off roading compared to the places that I take my highlander on hunting excursions and such. It's not even a good snow comparison to the western New York winters that we go through.

i was pushing snow over the hood the other day going down my rural unplowed road.and for all the haters and ford lovers out there...Ive got pics of my highlander pulling my friends F-350 turbo diesel out of the ditch this past week!Come see me after my turbo upgrade, get spanked by a 4 door!

  • Everyone that i see on here with toyota highlanders, dont have shit for tires on them.I am a proud owner of an 04 highlander with 63,000 miles on it.I put on a set of BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A's the day that I bought it.They have proved to be the best investment of the whole vehicle.I've also disabled the traction control(although the dealer will tell you it cant be done).I put it on a rocker switch on the dash. The highlander is unstoppable now.Soon to come is a custom lift kit & turbo

  • drop it in low gear , then turn on the snow setting , the diff actually does some lsd work :)

  • its not just about steep climbs, more like all around capability...not too capable really...i would of been real nervous driving where you did alone...nice driving though

  • well there were three different areas but the snowy part is at 36.318376, -115.622070‎ (GPS Coordinate) and the dirt roads are further south on mount charleston. the coordinates for the other places are:

    36.254171, -115.504203‎

    and

    36.246804, -115.473256

you can use google map and it will show you exactly where its at.

  • where was that back road area ?
