This song came out not long after I attained closure with an old girlfriend. She wrote me a letter saying "Maybe it's over, but it isn't done." Problem was that through that contact, I found I still had feelings for her. I expressed these feeling and was rejected. Ouch! I really did feel like rolling over to die. But that was a long time ago.
