One of the most picturesque tornadoes I've ever seen. Also, it's nice to have it out in the open country where it's pretty much harmless.

I love tornadoes that form in broad daylight with the sun shining around the cumulonimbus cloud, they don't seem quite as scary and you can see the beauty of them better.

I have this recurring dream where a big ass tornado touches down a few hundred yards from me. It starts moving toward me but I don't move I just let it consume me. A very peaceful feeling comes over me. weird shit

First part (wide shot with steady camera and just natural sound) was totally majestic. Kinda wished it stayed on that shot instead of going into the chase part with shaky cam and obnoxious truck noises just to get in closer. At that point a breathtaking, cinematic scene became just another tornado chase video. Still, really cool, and a perfect HD subject.

@Drew99GT I hear you man, I chase myself and would never park like that. Someone could have nailed that guy, especially with a tornado on the ground to destract people from looking at the road. That guy is a nut leaving his vehicle on the road like that. Enough vids on YouTube showing cars running into cop cars that are totally off the road and with flashing lights. The speed limit on this road is at least 65 if not maybe even 70.

The best clearest most detailed footage ive seen as of yet. Its all about luck with these storms, they can give you a couch to sit in comfortably or throw a couch at you while filming. u definely got a couch with popcorn.. Nice work could have been ruined with a camera phone and a bunch of bone heads screaming its a tornado!

I'm from Holland and we don't experience real extreme weather. Maybe a couple of thunderstorms a year but that's about it.

I collect a lot of tornado vids from the net and what a beauty this is !!!

Thanks for sharing it (and specially for the HD versions).

I like the beautiful white /brown contrast. Reminded me of a Kansas tornado from a couple of years ago which looked a lot like this one.
