  • I'm white and I don't mean to be racist but if you look at the video again you see that African American people were ALWAYS the first to help.

  • This is the best What Would You Do. I really felt for her, especially when she looked up to the heavens and exclaims What The Fuck. Very touching.

  • @SlugHatchet I agree. Most of the people that helped both actors where African American.

  • this really touched my heart....i got tears in my eyes watching this. i hear ppl say that there's no compassion left in the world but this is prove that there are still good ppl left in this corrupted world of ours. It's sad but that's jus the way ppl think now a days...selfish. As far as i'm concerned, i do for you and if u don't care about me the way i care for you, then SCREW YOU! She truely is an angel! Good things will come to her...what ever you put out, comes right back to you!

  • I was in a car in London, as my family and I were driving through the streets; we saw a woman walking and suddenly collapse on the side of the street. We stopped the car, the car infront stopped too. There were four other people on the pavement and they helped her too. We left before the ambulance arrived, but three people stayed with her.

  • I just notice.. its always a black woman stepping up to the plate...

  • Linda is so amazing. I actually cried watching this. She's an angel. She truly is.

  • I am very sorry, but the woman (her acting) looked as though she fainted, while the man looks like he had tripped, and was to lazy to get up. I do not mean to sound cruel, yet both Did seem to be overacting while falling, yet when after he, the man, fell he looked plan out unconcious or sleeping on the sidewalk.

  • wow i tried not to cry.... again but couldnt help shes so nice.

  • She's like a hero...god bless her:)

  • How could people walk by?

  • Wow! She's really a true angel.. God bless her...

  • @mraronquiray thats true! 100% pinoy!

  • she made me cry <3

    how sweet is she ?!

  • stupid onion cutting ninja are besides me

also a lot of faith in humanity have been restored.....

  • it amazes me how people can just walk by especially the people that are right there right when someone faints... it doesnt matter if the person is homeless or not... the right thing to do is call 911... how hard is that

  • I'm not stereotyping guys, but if this happens to the Philippines, i bet, the moment you dropped or few seconds from the moment you drop, there will be alot of people to help you. and not only one, but as community. :) thats what Filipinos are born, compassionate and cooperative :)

  • I don't care who it was I would have helped!!! But I'm not from a big city either!!!:)

  • this was the saddest fucking thing i have ever seen.

  • Linda is amazing. She is truly a wonderful human being! God bless her. -3

  • the end made me cry :( that woman was so sweet

  • Mostly African Americans called for help, and I'm ashamed because I'm white.

  • those who attacked the man (a real life video, not the actors) better have gotten 1st degree murder charges

  • omg the ending was so sad..... wth new jersey people

  • I still cant belithe old man after her got pushed in to it.

ve that the people who owned that van didnt help

  • I wish there was more people like that nice caring woman.God bless her.

  • I literally yelled at my iPhone screen when the host asked that one lady about calling 911 and she said "what could I do?" I bet it it was a sandwich on the ground she would have given it more compassion. Yeah, I know I shouldn't have said that. She just made me so mad.

  • i've watched this dozens of times and cry every single time....God bless you, linda hamilton and thank you for showing what real compassion is.

  • This show show's how black people are the most compasionate people.

  • @SlugHatchet im not black but i agree to u....im a filipino

  • I'm very inspired by Linda Hamilton.

  • Mostly black ppl stopped for the homeless man..sad but I'm not suprise we are just that caring but the feeling is never mutual

  • What an amazing woman, she shows just how caring a human being should be. The look on her face when nobody would call 911 was just heart shattering D'X people can be so cruel :'(

  • She is an amazing women...deserves more joy and happiness than anyone else in the world

  • This is what defines a women's beauty. Sometimes it's not how you look or how much you get paid. It's about the heart! :,)

  • What an amazing women.

  • i dunno why but every time when i watch the "what would you do" videos i start to cry. every fucking time. i dont want to that happen to me. i dont want to that happen to anybody. we must help each other. I couldnt live knowing that because i didnt help, someone died. Could you?

  • thats american way of life. almost as good as chinese way

  • -/3

  • Pretty much prices blacks are the children of Israel...white ppl don't care unless your finacially stable,or a white woman souless creepy devils

  • This made me cry D';

  • Suddenly she started to look beautiful to me

  • i love that lady .. really brought tears to my eyes. i have hope in people now .

  • I read the comments saying how people cried and I thought they were being rediculous ... then I watched the video and cried.

  • Linda... An angel.. Makes me feel there's still hope left in the world

  • This video made me cry.

  • breath taking Linda Hamilton is truly an angel

  • May she win the lottery and may god bless her heart

  • Bless her heart.

  • This put me to tears

  • If i stopped to help every drunk bum i saw passed out on the street id never get anything done and id end up poor and on the streets right along side him

  • 2:36, closed captioning (transcribe audio), enjoy

  • I m touched with her true emotions...MoM

  • Comment removed

  • Its mostly blacks that stand up and do the right thing

  • @1nemansquad so true, according to this video

  • @Nuubez : Your useless comment has nothing to do with this touching story, why are there so many stereotypes these days? Its because of fcked up people like you , who has nothing else "meaning ful" in this world, but cause more hate. Shame on you

  • THEY NEED TO HAVE A WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN CHINA!!!!!!

  • Linda is a Pure angel!!!! i love people like these! i might be a guy but im really crying right now!! =D

  • I love how she named him Billy. She's such a sweet person. God bless her.

  • God bless you linda!!! you have a big heart. cannot believe ppl still loading grocery while that poor man LYING on the ground, Is it that hard to dial 911???? !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5:11 true face covered with sadness...

i've never seen such sadness like this and disappointment

  • she has nothing to offer, but she has a big heart. God bless you linda

  • I came to this video after watching the case of a child named Yue Yue in China (which was ran over 3 time by 2 different cars and left near dead in a crowded street), And man, this was so sad when I were watching Linda kept asking people for help a total stranger. I'm from Vietnam, it is not so strange to pretend to not see accidents or criminals but this video for the first time make me cry for something like that. It just so sad, and heart breaking.

  • She is an angel. beautiful lady ever

  • Another day in paradise song played in my head while i saw Linda asking for help. Although it is a set up it did bring a bit of sorrow to see Linda trying to help the actor. A person never knows who will come to their aid when they truly need it. It wasn't a man or woman with an outstanding career, it was a handicapped lady with a kind heart who stood by him until help came. Respect people who truly deserve a warm respect and treat others kindly so far as they don't commit an atrocious act i say

  • I remember when i first saw this..i cried soo much...its still very touching!!!!

  • It makes me sad to see this

  • What the fuck...? That fat woman takes a good long look but didn't stop...and then when it comes to interview she said, "he's a human being and he needs help" then John asked, "but you didn't stop?" and her replied was: "but what can I do?" OMG...that is very dumb of her to say that. If she knows he needs help, the least she can fucking do is call 911...yet she did non of that!! -shakes head-

  • This made me so sad when the woman was asking for someone to call an ambulance and no one would even look at her I feel like crying.

  • Comment removed

  • The world needs more people like Linda.

  • it's because the homelss is obviously a drunk

  • could u pls call an amburlamps

  • Since watching these "what would you do" videos...I've certainly found myself to be a little more generous and show more compassion (not only the homeless) but my fellow man as a whole! This video in particular was an EYE OPENING experience and (seriously) has given me a new perspective - thank you Linda! If I was financially in the postion...I'd get you off the streets!

  • I would keep walking if I saw someone lying on the concrete with a beer can. Its pretty obvious he's lying there passed out. How is it helping to call 911? So get arrested for loitering and drinking in public on top of the hangover? What the real shame here is most homeless people are mentally ill. What’s next, throw the physically handicapped out on the streets too?

  • I was appalled and had my eyes opened widely when we watched this video in our homelessness class tonight.

  • that is so touching

  • maybe once in her life her way went wrong, she failed herself but that doesn't mean that she can't make things straight, like most of us she has a right to make things right and also help people. yes, maybe she helped the man cause she's been there. being ignored, not helped. she knew how cruel life is but she had realized it that's why she helped the man. not only civilized persons have to do something good. people like linda who are homeless have more heart than most people do.

  • Ok seriously? Loading your fucking groceries in your car while somebody is dying?

  • @208327650 THATS NOTHING ME AND MY EX GOT INTO A FIGHT AND HE BEAT ME LIKE A MAN HE IS 6`4 220 IM 5`1 128 POUNDS AND NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE UTTERED A WORD LET ALONE TRIED TO STOP IT LASTED FOR TEN MINUTES BROKE NOSE BOTH EYES SWOLLEN SHUT TWO KNOTS ON MY HEAD FLUID ON THE BRAIN THREE BROKE RIBS AND A FRACTURED JAW HE LEFT THE SCENE POLICE AND AMBULANCE ARRIVED THEN PPL WANTED TO BE SO HELPFUL WITH THAT EXPERIENCE IT MADE ME HATEFUL BUT IVE HEALED FRO MTHAT AND HE IS SERVIN A TEN YEAR SENTENCE

  • I wanna meet her and just talk...

  • may god bless her

  • I'm so ashamed. I walked with my mother down a Washington D.C. for the first time at the tender age of 8. There was a man lying on the sidewalk. I was instructed to walk around him. My mother was a native of the city, I the burbs.

    I never did it again.

  • no white person helped the homeless man beer...or...no..beer...black or latino were the only ones who helped....but everyone else all colours was quick to help the white woman...this is just what i saw in the video...

  • @slickhbb1 Why are you trying to make things even harder? Was your comment necessary? People want peace and you are just making the problem bigger with spiteful comments. Click on some of these other videos and then come back and tell me if you saw any white people demonstrating kindness. You will be pleasantly surprised. Incidentally there were people of all races that ignored this man too.

  • @lyricsma so i am not supposed to have a brain and notice things i said nothing wrong i was not disrespectful i just said what i saw....

  • @slickhbb1 If you have a brain then use it. If you can't understand why comments like that are incendiary than I pity you. Racism goes both ways.

  • @lyricsma are u white or black be honest.....saying something that sounds politically correct and applying it to your life is two different things ...so u can fool yourself into believing your great philosophies...i hope that one day when the opportunity arises u can do what u are saying with a clean heart...and not out of pity..or in search of fame..

  • @slickhbb1 Why would I waste time trying to come across as politically correct to strangers on the internet? No one bothers to be PC when they are anonymous. I don't think your comment about white people was fair or accurate. For the record, I am not white or black. There are people I love deeply who are tho. Blanket statements about any race are harmful. Try and keep yourself from doing that in the future and it will benefit everyone.

  • @lyricsma first thing u would!!waste time cause u have ppl who would see ur comments.. second my comment to white ppl was accurate the white guy only helped to b politically correct cause everyone else started helping..third... it is conversations like this is the greatest weapon against racialism..thank u for your open mindedness and talking to a stranger..u might have affected my life u never know..i might have affected yours????

  • God bless that woman.

  • Oh my God. I am sobbing my eyes out. Thank you Linda. You're such a sweet angel.

  • wow thats is such a slap on the face what a wonderfl person and example we all should follow !! Iam speechless!!!

  • Linda is a angel.I seriously cried when I saw this T_T

  • fuck humanity

  • there's still hope for humanity. thanks, ms linda hamilton. you changed my perspective.

  • I WOULD SQUISH HER BOOBS AND RUN!!

  • hahaha 1:07! Amazing face blurring technology you have there!

    still an interesting video nevertheless

  • What ever happened to Linda? Does anyone know how she's doing?

  • She touch my heart..gud and bad in all race

  • Linda made me cry. I'm only 13 and that is a beautiful thing that she did. I hope to have a heart like she dod when I grow up.

  • @StephP714

Steph, you have that heart already.

  • god bless you linda hamilton you are truly an angel

  • I love how she's really modest about it.

  • Seeing the homeless woman pleading for help and being ignored broke my heart. Really strong heart on that woman. God bless her.

  • Woman: "He is a human being, and he needs help."

    John: "...but you didn't stop."

    Woman = FAIL.

  • Wow...Linda Hamilton is really an angel....where is she from? I hope I see her one day.

  • Good for you Linda. Having money does not always equate to having a heart...

  • Today if you stop and help you are now tied to a process that may legally bind you either in a win or loss. You could try and help and be told to F*** off or be sued for doing something that may make a medical condition worse. So yes we should all help but with todays climate of sue everyone even I stand back and hold my breath.

  • Omg, poor woman (At the start...). R.I.P. <3

  • this video is soo touching, linda is such an inspiration. god bless her.

  • Did she just mouth 'F*** you' at 5:39 -5:45?

  • The reason many of the people walk by is because of the legal system that says if you get involved, or if the person is injured further due to you attempting to help, your life will then become a FUCKING NIGHTMARE by being dragged through the legal system and possible even named a suspect. You can thank your congress and lawyers for that. They are the true heartless scumbags, not the people who walk by.

  • @DuhEnlightenedOne Thats not true at all. If you offer help to someone who needs it then you are covered by Good Samaritan Laws. I suggest you educate yourself before you make comments like that.

  • @stivystab Thanks for proving my point. The mere fact that you are claiming there is a "Good Samaritan" law proves that there was a time when good samaritans were getting dragged through the legal system, and so that probably prompted a law to be created, although, I am taking your word on that, I see no Good Samaraitan law. I'm not a lawyer, I don't know all the laws on the books, do you? Do those people in the video know all the laws? I doubt it. (continued)

  • So maybe all those people did want to help the homeless guy, but simply didn';t want to risk their life getting ruined because the bum could turn around and sue them for every penny. It happens. and I don't blame those people for not having a law library strapped to their back to figure out what they can and can't do. 99% of the people who walk by them are not qualified to help (according to the legal system). Courts in the U.S. do not want lamen making medical decisions . It's a fact.

  • @omonamag Sounds like someone found the wallet before you, took the money out of it and tossed it back on the ground. So how did the lawsuit end?

  • Comment removed

  • i cried so much <3

  • i would of gave linda hami a home .

  • Linda Hamilton, God bless you! You are so pure, humble, kind and selfless that you are simply beautiful. I am ashamed and humbled by you. You are a gift to the world. And you are truly the greatest of all.

  • @UnitedKorean Linda can't see this video because she can't afford a home, and she can't afford a computer and internet service. I'll print your comment and carry it with me always until one day when I see Linda in her eternal home in heaven.

  • @RichardElden Not that Linda Hamilton, the homeless lady in the video is named Linda.

  • @RichardElden You're a terrible troll, the abuse you must of taken as a child was terrible but you deserved it.

  • He's a human being and he needs help!

    But you didn't stop.

    .........Because what can i do?

    speechless

  • @lipki Help. & call 911....Thats what you can do and thats what the right thing is to do.

  • No. F-ing Goldfinch BIRDS flock to check when another bird gets hurt. You step over another human being lying on the ground without a care, you are lower than the d-mn BIRDS.

  • I live in NYC and its not that people don't care, its that they don't care enough and they easily succumb to group think and pass off the responsibility to the person ahead of or behind them. Diffusion of responsibility is so rampant that I had to call the authorities twice while huge crowds of people were standing around before I was 18. Even I however am guilty of passing homeless people by because there are so many and you become desensitized and defeated b/c there's no way to help them all.

  • @Unkindunkin it is totally true that those who have the least are also the most empathetic to the pain of others, I have always believed this and it has been proven time and time again

  • Wow, that is so touching! It's so sad about stereotypes!

  • That's zoo sad I'm crying that other people are zoo broken hearted

  • man that sucks and is sad. When you see Linda standing helplessly on the side at 5:16 while the rest of the world ignored her, it kinda reminded me a child standing helpless on the side of her dead mother or father in a 3rd world country affected by war. Linda didnt panic, or show any wild emotion,-she just stood there as if the world gave up on her, its just heart breaking

  • @marcellin20a Ya? and what about her swearing at God and blaming him for everything @ 5:40 you ever think about that? This useless bum is on the streets for a reason. You idiots never put things in context and only have short sighted vision in hopes of making yourself feel better by wanting to believe she's somehow an angel because the camera caught her in a moment of decency. She was probably a junkie whore who did time, you have no idea. World didn't give up on her, she failed at life.

  • Comment removed

  • @marcellin20a Why did you remove your comment, you don't want people to see what you wrote? You're no saint. She's a homeless bum, who probably recognizes another drunk loser when she sees one. Takes one to know one. The ones who walked pass chose to continue with their lives doesn't mean they're losers you have no idea what's going on in their lives either so you're a hypocrite. Telling me not to judge when you yourself blame the others for not helping, who the fuck are you - no body.

  • @lgadwords lol. you're no genius. If you read your notfication email from youtube you would find that my original comment was edited to have the word ..."idiot" following 'shithole' deleted but then again I had already posted my comment so I decided to delete it. After your recent comment, maybe I should have left the word 'idiot' as it was and followed by the word 'dumbass'.

  • @marcellin20a as I thought ...you are dazed and confused not knowing which word to use. Like a ship lost at sea, no direction to go, lost in the ocean of life.

  • @lgadwords the only direction you need is one to the psychiatrist to control your random outbursts online. Had too much sugar today sweety?

  • @marcellin20a that the best u can do? comon you can do better.

  • @lgadwords "that the best u can do? comon you can do better.". wow great comeback *clap, clap*. Did you finally realize deep down that you really needed a psychiatrist hence for your short empty response? lol

  • @marcellin20a try harder... com'on you can do it. (lol)

  • @lgadwords gee, you get raped by a homeless person?. You’re an ignorant twat. Take a look at yourself first before you criticise others. Whats wrong with praising her efforts?. Is that a crime in your books? Youre probably as sad bitch living in a mansion who want nothing to do with these people.

Ive worked in homeless shelter and they all come from all walks of life.

  • @transtasmannetball No but you obviously did (and loved it too apparently) from your passionate defense of these useless bums who urinate and defecate on our streets and alleys, beg borrow and steal to support their junkie lifestyle. This pathetic God-cursing low life doesn't deserve to be praised because she is looking for a boyfriend, she doesn't give a crap about this guy she is looking for a pet, see how she just gives him a name, well I got a name for her... it's homless dumbass nigger.

  • @lgadwords impressive, showing your class there of lack of it. Maybe Ive mistaken you for a homeless person. Im sorry, heres a dollar. Now go buy yourself a can of shut the fuck up.

  • @transtasmannetball I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time you're mistaken... probably used to it. Runs in the family the first mistake your mom made was not swallowing and you're the result. So here's your dollar back, buy a condom and stop your bloodline from propagating and rid the world of your stupidity.

  • @lgadwords no thank you, I dont take used condoms. You have better use for it so you dont breed narrow minded bastards.

  • @transtasmannetball I see you're having difficultly with coming up with original material. I'm not surprised.

  • She is an angel, if only everyone was like that

  • ntawwwwwwwwww :'( can't wait to tell my mum about this story.. im watching it now on tv :'3 what a kind kind lady, i'm surprised no one would help that man, she stuck around and asked for help for him...no one listened to her, hope she is well taken care of now <3

  • wow the part with the black women helping is very emotional. She looks homeless, she is disable yet she she has the bravey, kindness of 1000 humans.

  • Solitude Angle, I'am in tears :').

how can people be so heartless, people should learn from Linda.

  • @dirtyharry9111 unfortunately no.

  • Linda Hamilton is an angel.

  • @TheFirstClassedFreak My dad always said there are angels in disguise who visit sometimes, make sure to have a measure of kindness put aside for the day.

  • @TheFirstClassedFreak Ya some angel, did you see this her look straight up to God himself and swear @ 5:40? she's nothing but a homeless bum, probably smoked crack most of her life and got her legs broken by her pimp for not meeting the daily quota. The camera caught her in a moment of decency and all of a sudden she's an "angel" from heaven lol gimme a break. You'd have ignored her if you were walking the streets just like everyone else. Hypocrite.

  • as the saying goes when thousands of people are suffering people want to help when it's 1 person no one cares. It goes to show you ALOT of people don't care anymore. No one has much compassion or doesn't have the guts to do anything anymore unless it's for profit or some material object. The human race has become disgusting

  • fuck your earth. shitty humans. you don't deserve.

  • I see some comments that are saying things like the only reason they ignored the man was because he was a homeless drunk. But as you can see from the first 36 seconds of the video, that lady was STILL ignored in a hospital... smh, makes no sense at all

  • two homeless people....running a game on the street, you stop to help and they bash you over the head with their cane and rob you blind....no thanks i'll just ignore her and the oscar-winner laying on the ground

  • @baronbuttocks2 ill bash your moms head with my dick

  • i wish more people were like Ms. Hamilton. i started crying :(

  • "What can I do?" Omg.. I feel like punching that lady.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?! Call the HOSPITAL you stupid, stupid lady!

  • Please give this lady help

  • LINDA HAMILTON , your a hero & a legend !

  • Wow.... Just her face.. How stoic and somber it looks as all the people ignore her pleas for help, but how determined she is. It's just plain beautiful.

  • 2:15 well why don't you stop and help????

  • A beautiful view of new jersey, referring to the homeless man?

    FUCK YOU BITCH

  • @MarcusLKF001 STFU

  • LINDA HAMILTON made me cry.
