Help! my .049 will start but not run. basically it will start at 50% rpm and then it will go REALLY low RPM then stop and it wont start again til i put fuel in the cylinder (the "muffler Spring")
Hi guys, nice video, but I'm afraid this is not a Queen Bee... This engine normally has a displacement of .074, a modern-looking muffler and a full rear RC carb ;)
This one looks more like a Babe Bee with a Golden Bee style tank
@33HPScott you are correct. The Queen Bee was a 0.74 cubic inch and had a very different looking muffler and different shaped cylinder/head plus a full sized glow plug.
...a real man.....or a real DUMB man??? Ahhh...to be young and dumb!
Trust me...I appreciate livin on the edge (21 documented broken bones from doing "real man" stuff), but what do you have to prove by cutting off a finger? It's not worth it....don't listen to this "tough guy"....Stay safe guys so you can enjoy the next time out, too! (and I spent 8 years in the USMC....you saying that I am not a "man", robot797?)
Well....you did say that! If you say that a real man never uses a chicken stick, and I say to always use one...then: you are saying that I am not a real man!? I don't even understand half of your message..so..good point, I guess! Learn to write, and how about giving DLP some positive things to say? I think their excitement for the hobby is great...they are way ahead of where I was at that age! Keep it up, Luis!! You are the man! (just not a real one according to blowbot....haha)
@robot797 Fingers don't grow back if you cut them off... Anyways you could with your fingers, I've done it. It turn on my bigger engines with my hand becuase they have a lower rmp.

@Kpilot786457
You need to take it apart and clean the internal reed valve system, it might be gummed up.

@mattyfly4fun I'll try to, is that this engines are vintage, and a bit delicate... But I will make a plane for the Cox .049 SureStart!

...when I was a bout your age, I started a fire in my parent's basement doing the same thing with the same motor! (Mine leaked, too!) lol

@TheLipRipp3r Just keep the gallon a fuel far away, and a bucket of water near!

@robot797

@TheLipRipp3r i dont have to compliment evrything they do
i asept it that they are pure awsomnes and have the greatest engines
but i dont like the chicken stick
and that has 2 reasons
you cant realy feel the engine
ant the name chicken "STICK" (just lik soutpark fishSTICKS) joke
robot797 1 year ago
@robot797
Well......I guess those are two intelligent reasons! lol
You forgot about the THIRD REASON!
...because you are a real man! haha
TheLipRipp3r 1 year ago
@TheLipRipp3r Thank you very much! I think you should use a chicken stick for tiny engines like these becuase of the rpm.

@DLPlanes
the fingercutting is why i never sharpen my props for more speed
and you are right maybe it is smarter
sorry guys if i insulted anyone
