The reason Iverson never won a championship is because he was all about him and not his team, in my humble opinion. The kid could light up the scoreboard but his team always lost because he didn't include his teammates.

@DSVetDad That's bs, you dont know allen Iverson. In most of Iverson's highest scroing games late in his career he had high assists too. When Philly won over Miami for they're 3rd str8 win Iverson had 33 and 13 assists, when they won over Phoenix while he was with Denver Iverson had 31 and 12 and when they beat Phoenix earlier in the season(by a landslide I might add) Iverson had 44 and 14. He was always in the top 10 in assists, bro.

In philly his best help was snow and Mutombo, and he went up against a Laker team that always got their way, all while the refs quit calling them when he got fouled. Not to mention everyone on that sixer team was injured while the lakers were all healthy, Iverson having accumulated over 13 injuries over the season. 2. When he got to denver he got them their only win against the Spurs, and the next season Melo shot them out of their games

@DSVetDad ...against LA. Melo was all about himself not Iverson. Melo had most of his best shots coming from not putting the ball on the floor or passing and just shooting. It's part of the reason they lost to the spurs, and then lost to the lakers (who were the nba champions that year.).

He is good but he just shoot his way to 50 with the team losing. Took 14 shot by half time and ppl are already calling Kobe shooting too much when he too 24 in the whole game. That is the reason he is not in NBA anymore coz when u r not young anymore n you don't play team ball, there's no reason for teams to bring u back to pull them down just so you can enjoy yourself in the record book! With his ability even now, if he could learn just some pg vision then he would still be with the best today!

iverson used to be my fav player. But i gotta admit he is an injury bug. He was in the same draft as kobe and kobe is still going strong. He is 3 yrs younger than Nash and nash is still going strong. Allen missed over 340 games in his career. He may have been an amazing player but he wasnt reliable.
