  • Hopefully Alfa dont go down the line of pleasing too many 'women' and forgetting the heritage like audi have done being pimp-mobiles, instead of drivers rally cars

  • the engine on the 2008-present Alfa Romeo MiTo Engine Petrol: 0.9 I2 Turbo TwinAir 1.4 I4 1.4 I4 Turbo 1.4 I4 Turbo Multiair Diesel: 1.3 I4 JTDM 1.6 I4 JTDM LPG: 1.4 I4 Turbo
  • @Annihilator1111 1.6 jtdm lpg? lpg can't work on a diesel engine

  • @teosou1 no the LPG engine is the 1.4 l4 Turbo

  • quite a good car in tdu2

  • Looks like crap. I'd be embarrassed to drive that car or even be in it.

  • This car is about as attractive as an infected anus!

  • ive owned 3 alfas and they got worse the newer the model, they are trading on past glories, the cant even get the basics right particularly with electrics so on they go and add some more eg dna to cover up a totally outclassed chassis

  • ''country lanes'' aka the millbrook hillclimb circuit :) aint fooling me women

  • ugly ass car

  • Boring..why top gear didn't test it?

  • i have a fabia , but i love alfa too - why can't we all just get along ???? , im a female , so not a deluded old ''wanker'' ,and briskoda is for helping people , most cars have forums like that !

  • England english is really terrible

  • @sasaaaaaaaaaaa Czech is worse

  • @0:33 it looks as big as a Range Rover.

  • vrs2011man and skorob2010 is the same troll on YouTube who drives a crappy Skoda Labia. How can this old fart criticize Alfa's beautiful cars when he drives an embarrassing pile of Czech junk? LMAO. You just can't compare Alfa to Skoda. It's like pleasure and pain. Skoda's are driven by deluded old wankers like this who have no desire or passion in their sad lives. Poor sods. Alfa's are far superior. Skoda's are dull and unreliable - visit Briskoda forum - Problems galore. Buy an Alfa and enjoy!

  • mini with alfa romeo's perpect engine sound

  • Comment removed

  • Gotta love Alfas!

  • Umm...if this is a supermini class vehicle, just how small is that woman!?!

  • I want MiTo

  • @footballistaJ

    me too

  • You're*

Massive brainfart - I've not had my coffee yet :(

  • skorob2010, stand on the street corner and shout "TAXI", and see how many skodas pull up. Do you still live with your mother and she told you to be sensible and get a skoda, lol

  • @vrs2011man why compare the Alfas of yesterday with Skodas of today? Skodas used to be very unreliable too, when Alfa Romeos were unreliable. just like the Fabias reliability depends on that of a Polo, Mito's reliability comes from the Grande Punto.

What is more important is what you look for in a car. If your car for you is something like a vacuum cleaner, or a fridge; a Skoda is perfectly fine. But me (and many others) value design, beauty, sportiness in a car

  • Anyone think Vicky Butler Henderson has got a face like a kicked in fridge door? I mean, it looks like her face caught fire and somebody put it out with a shovel!

  • the Renault is better, but it's not an Alfa Romeo ;)

  • SKOROB2010 OWNS A SKODA..PREVIOUSLY A LADA...

GOOGLE; COOL BRANDS AND SEE ALFA ROMEO AT THE TOP.....YOU WON'T

    FIND SKODA MENTIONED....NUFF SAID

  • tire is flat at 3:04 that's why the chassis is shit!

  • It looks soooooo fine but the license plate on the left is ugly

  • I'd grip her properly...

  • will it break down?

  • when will they bring this to the us???

  • I want one. Not yellow though.

  • Umm why did the window go down a little when she opened the door at the end? :\

  • @ChadRobertHill

As there's no frame for the window, if it didn't go down when the door opened it would break when you 'd try to close the door(notice that the window goes up again when she closes the door)

  • @ChadRobertHill A little bit late. But it is mito designed like this. When you open the door the window goes down and when you close it it goes up. :)

  • Why the steering wheel always looks very big in her hands?

  • My best friend has one of these and I have a Cooper S (184hp). They're not really in the same league...

  • @odracirseraoseia1999 Once the Mito GTA goes on sale the cooper s and works cars will be left behind on all fronts.. Handling..Roadholding & performance. ..

  • @cbtmale Dude, that's the future. This is the present. In the future, all current cars will be beaten.

  • @odracirseraoseia1999 Its happening this year but also with the introduction of the Alfa 4C. The future does not always mean progress but I am please that Alfa are getting their act together with the mito GTA and 4C. I just hope they are both launched in the USA to bolster sales which the fiat group so desperately needs.

  • I love ALFA ROMEO MITO

  • Great little car and drives like a dream.....I know I'm biased as I have one of these hot little cars but I dont care! They say youre not a true petrolhead unless youve owned an Alfa and I've had 4 of them now!!

  • @wrestleboyneil 'They' meaning Jeremy Clarkson.

  • I'm not gonna address it as a hot hatch. You gotta have at least 30 bhp more to be one. It's just a sporty version which doesn't cost that much and lets you have fun without braking your spine, in all comfort. Can't compare it with a Clio Sport, that's almost a track day car. But please, leave alone that yellow... And inflate the tires before saying the steering is not good.

  • Hideous colour on an otherwise gorgeous car.

  • Actually, not too shit for fifth gear.

  • "And the seats are a bit too wide to grip me properly..."

    And she isn't exactly.. slim?

  • HAHA the boring tarts will still by a dull VW or worse a status symbol BMW what

    a pile of dull manure...

Italian cars have flair and affect the emotions ( nice try Seat= fail) and are 100x

better looking than the sour kraut and 100x more enjoyable to pilot..forza italia

  • Vicki rocks!!!

  • Don't let VW buy Alfa romeo, keep alfa Italian, 100 years of Italian art..

    Let them have Lancia...

  • Finnish winter, cold 28 celsius. My Alfa Romeo Mito multiair turbo 135hv play very fine. Believe Alfa Romeo is trusty selection. My first Alfa but not last. Car is smashing.

  • Zum Kotzen!!

  • alfista a vita!!!

  • You can see a bit of her tits

  • oh yeah....just ordered ::::::))))))))))

  • bias fifthgear

  • cloverleaf = quadrofolio verde?

  • @DVaderlar yes

  • @DVaderlar

    yes

  • @DVaderlar yes

  • @DVaderlar NO, QuadrifoGlio with the "g". And 3 people responded, wonder why they did

  • my hands are just right to grip you properly....lol nice car

  • Man, that looks so cool in yellow. I want one.

  • disgrace alfa! i have owned 5 alfas but wont be buying anything new until you make something that we REALLY want to drive. that means class leading dynamics, handling and performance with the reliability of the japanese. AND it still needs to be that little bit raw. (not half baked though) alfisti are screaming out for a return to ESSENCE. alfa could be SO SO much more.

  • @billoddiea i rely , had a 147 , when i introduced to the 155bhp mito the reds started at 5.000rpm and i went WHAT THE HECK !! ???

the vag group which i always laugjing at theyre reds , start 500rpm laters ...

these cars should be renamed volksini wagenini ... they tried hard and in cases they managed to be a vw-like , so now they just have to find the customers

  • @gloup81 That's because it's a turbocharged engine non aspirated, and by the way the redline starts at 6500rpm

  • @billoddiea I don't know what alfa's you have owned, but if you're expecting japanese reliability, I think you may be waiting quite a long time. And as for the drive, I can't think of a time when any given Alfa hasn't been totally outclassed by equivalents from BMW. It 's about style as it has always been. And on that front it does well.

  • @soundseeker63 you dont have a clue on what you are saying you fucking idiota...shut your mouth!!!...you fucker

  • @mjcpv What if I don't?

  • @soundseeker63 1950's through 70's Alfa's were far superior. GTV 1600 through 2000's, Guilia GTAm's etc. Some of the greatest small sports cars ever made.

  • @soundseeker63 On the reliability you're partly right, certainly it's not the first thing that pops into mind thinking of an Alfa.. BTW Alfas are much more reliable today... And Toyotas... Well bit less. So gap is smaller. The second part of what you said is very wrong.

Until mid-eighties when Alfa went bankrupt and got in the hands of FIAT Alfa Romeos were CONSISTENTLY much better than BMWs. To match the 150 bhp 75 2.0 TS a 325i wasn't enough

  • Lol the window is dodgy and 3.11 when the door is closed, the window raises itself

  • @richboy900 you kidding right? it's supposed to! just like 2 door 3-series Bimers et al.. otherwise the window would clip and ruin the rubber seal...

  • @richboy900 oh my god...

  • I can't get used to the look of this car...it's pug fugly.

  • Looks like a ground sloth,

  • Thats a sweet model, 47mpg combined and 167bhp. Second hand it will be a steal.

  • 47 mpg maybe but you wont be getting that in Dynamic mode thats for certain, i currently own the previous 155 T-Jet and everyday driving average around mid 30's mpg in normal mode. this drops to high 20's in Dynamic and has been as low as 23 on some road trips through wales :)

  • Alfa red? Etna black is better on a cloverleaf with the 18" alloys - should know I have one

  • front right needs a little air ;)

  • As a company car driver, the Mito becomes a far better prospect than the Clio though....

  • a mito should be in red, not yellow!

    it's not a ds3

  • It's called the MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde..... Not Cloverleaf.

    Don't traslate it it's stupid!

  • @tacodias Cloverleaf is the established 'branding' for top of the range Alfa's over here in the UK. To us, Quadrifoglio (or whatever it is) sounds bloody daft. Just be thankful we like your cars (I take it your Italian) and leave us be :p

    - A British Alfa driver

  • @tacodias It was officially called Cloverleaf by Alfa in the UK until this year

  • @tacodias It's called total, irredeemable junk that only people too stupid or aristocratic to buy a Corsa turbo (which this car is a based off of) or a Cooper S.

Alfas have always been shit and always will be. The only reason they sell is because dumbasses like Clarkson say they have "soul" to make up for their total lack of redeeming qualities. No reliability, no practicality, no affordability. There is NO reason to buy an Alfa unless you want to suck Clarkson's dick.

  • @wharghoul your an idiot mate, alfa's are special and very different to all other cars on the market

  • @randombloke10 Precisely, I bet the idiot drives a hideously dull Skoda!! True Alfa owners know they are in fact special. People who slate them are just jealous fools...

  • @randombloke10 Being as this is a Corsa turbo with some Alfa badges and a corresponding price increase, no.

Also, the only thing special about most Alfas is how they refuse to run.

  • @wharghoul

    1. it shares its platforms from FIAT group not general motors you stupid naive prick and so has no relation to the vauxhaul brand in any way.

2.it uses multi air technology on this particular model which not only gives low rev high torque but also saves massive amounts of fuel.

3.its the only car in its class to have addaptive active dampeners which gives a great ride and handling.

4.Look up the Alfisti sometime they and the cloverleaf club make alfa romeo the best and most fun brand

  • @wharghoul you know nothing about cars.alfa has nothing to do with vauxhaul

  • @teosou1 I didn't say it did.

What I said is you can get a Vauxhall that's faster than this car for less money, but the Alfas keep selling because OMG ITALIAN PASSION, despite the fact that they're fucking awful cars which don't run on any day ending in the letter Y.

  • @wharghoul Jealous knob. period

  • @u1430 Yeah, I'm really jealous of your overpriced, tarted up Vauxhall which will only run on days not ending in the letter Y.

  • @wharghoul I shall repeat again; jealous knob.

  • Most ugly modern Alfa Romeo that's ever been produced :(

  • @Terinigan But who cares bcs it is an ALFA !! 1.4l with 170bhp + good fuel consumption ~

  • she's not on country roads, she is on mira's alpine course because that is where fifth gear is presented

  • mito looks horrible with this color........

  • 3.11-3.12 the window goes up by itself cool

  • @CDS6000 in 2011 u will

  • At 3:05 you can see that the tyre is clearly underinflated. That cannot do any good to the handling...

I've now driven this QV version of the Mito and I didn't like it. Weird traction control, always cutting your inputs, steering feel on the mushy side and more body roll than I was expecting. 12/20 in my opinion.

  • FWD...... i wish it was RWD

  • @banhovas LOL..such as little car rwd? dont be kiding...biger cars than this has fwd ...this is to little..and handle very well..fwd helps in mountain roads and in wet has better grip...this car dont need rwd...u must be from usa right?

  • @scoot24925 im not from the usa.... and it is rather obvious that FWD is much better.

  • @scoot24925 FWD actually hydroplanes easier on wet roads and takes off slower on wet or dry roads. better cars are RWD or AWD.

  • @sfsTrader yes, but they get better traction on loose surfaces. Hence why saabs have been fwd, due to the snow in sweden

  • @oldsoulyoungbody i was talking to the other guy about the wetness of roads.

but if there is snow then they should have AWD. FWD is good for saving cost/weight/space, not for performance.

  • fantastic car!! too bad for the color.. couldnt take a white or red one??

  • @ooMATTiAoo in blue it's also very beautiful

  • when she closes the door the window goes up a little bit at 3:11

  • ill take it for 10 bucks

  • gotta love fifth gear show :)

  • £18,000... 'ave a word!

  • One of the best looking cars today except in........... yellow! Why didn't they review a red one instead!? But an Alfa Romeo is always beautiful!

  • awsome review, keep up the good work vicki.

  • My car has 200 HP and cost half that (Nissan Sentra Se-R Spec V)

  • @BYLRPhil lol. Well if ya didn't tell which car it was it could sound interesting

  • vicki would look even better in hd.

  • Umm the Alfa Mito clover is the most reliable Alfa ever but I still think those headlights are very un-alfa like they just don't look right on an Alfa. Did Vicki say the seats were to big for her smal ladies bottom?

  • @quieturmuzzle

She got old and wide ....ah she drive really perfect!!!!!

  • i love that woman, I would really concider leaving my wife for her, and im quite happy.

  • @quieturmuzzle lol u crazy

  • @quieturmuzzle I hope for your sake, you wife doesn't this comment. ;P

  • @quieturmuzzle better hope your wife dosent see that lol

  • @CRF250RGUY his wife might of wrote that on his behalf, you never know lol ^.^

  • @driftnut56 Oh now its just getting complicated :P

  • @quieturmuzzle hahaha! Would you want a woman that drives better than you?

  • @quieturmuzzle hahaha

  • @quieturmuzzle Learn to tell a oood joke.

  • @quieturmuzzle Learn to tell a good joke buddy.

  • @quieturmuzzle u gonna be screwed if ur wife finds out that comment haha :P

  • @quieturmuzzle "concider" to spell "consider"

  • @quieturmuzzle hope ur wife doesnt see this. LoL

  • oooh! Its the Alpine Racing Course!!

    Awesome!

  • potentially a beautiful car if it werent for that face

  • there terible to work on do not get one i cba to fix it

  • Hey, when does Fifth Gear return to tv?

  • This car looks aweful, but perhaps it's fun to drive...

  • @watchtower183 your momma looks awful.

  • @LordPine You're stupid, she's got a racing license and is the tied for the best driver on Fifth Gear.

  • Would it be too much to ask to BEG YOU TO PLEASE COMMISSION TIFF NEEDELL OR JASON PLATO FOR THESE SORT OF TESTS???

I watch Vicky since 1997, I think she's great, but Tiff and Jason are a tad more experienced and, paradoxically, a bit more sensible judging the cars' limit-behaviour. I believe Vicky also tested a MiTo against a MINI some months ago.

That's all, thanks as usual for brilliant reviews by these three guys Vicky, Tiff and Jason.

  • What was with the music at 2:51? Really nice, but a bit weird?

  • it looks nice but that middle huge pig nose grill makes it look ulgy if u ask me.

  • @bbbd I won`t ask you ! :)

  • @perki1952 hahah. its just 2 weirdly out of place.

  • Man alfa should really bring back the 147 instead of this grande punto transformer...PASS

  • nice haircut

  • i want the GTA that they theased!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can't wait for alfa in the states!

  • It is cool, better than Mini cooper S but it looks too girlie.

  • @esurfer26

It is quick and sporty, but tall. It looks like Monica Bellucci can not play tennis.

  • srsly consider getting one. if they get it in the states! boooo

  • again, another lovely that USA doesn't get..,

  • @Fearrange Oh come on! Move to Europe! Although I don't recommend Hungary. :P

  • @Fearrange I hope Fiat will bring them soon to the US. But then, buy them!! They're no more like 80's, now Alfas are reliable!

  • hm...front tires under inflated??

  • @citi0rhythm yeah I think so too....I guess the press don't check their test cars
