Hey gurrrllll so I am a hair stylist and my recommendation is to cut it and get some layers through your hair just to add more body and pizzaz get a shorter layer at the top to add a bit of volume you can still add layer without chopping it all off remember that your hair will grow back ;-) hope this helped :)

i think you should just cut off all the dead ends and just start all over. I had the same problem and I just decided to cut if all off and Im putting myself throught hair rehab lol. I rarely ever use heat now and use It's a Ten hair serum. Its working out and my hair is growing and it's healthy :)

I don't know why people are freaking out.... Hair is hair. It grows. Do whatever you want with your hair. I had ridiculously long hair that was dead much like yours (except way wavier) and then I cut all of my hair off to an asymmetrical pixie. I'm growing it out now. And I don't think (and I have been told) that it's not awkward. You just have to go in for more trims to make sure the hair stays healthy. Might as well start fresh!
