A friend disagreed with me vehemently. He argued the "fate" & destiny factor. Now so much later in life I have to admit he was right. This doesn't work for most people no more than subliminal messages work (they work a little on very few people). Yes positive thinking has great limits and works best of optimistic shallow people. I am having a hard time believing this. I am a skeptic, but am also sincere enough to read, "The Science of Getting Rich", by Wallace D. Wattles. I just think that if the Law of Attraction actually worked, we would see more testimonials from average people on anything they specifically wished for. If our consciousness could create, and bring forward something, it would have happened like magic, instead of someone bringing it to you.
@TheAstonMartian Did you searched for testimonials? Make a research or even better, try it yourself. You do have to understand it first. and no it isn't "magic" nor is it just limited to someone bringing it to you. Action is also important. A way of looking at this law is to think that just by thinking of something you want, you will see opportunities that were already there but because you weren't thinking about them, you did noticed them.

I don't want corporate testimonials, but from people like you, or other users who have gotten exactly what they wanted. I also watched affirmations(magnet to money etc) and got it deep into my head that if I can manifest a wii, I can manifest money. The wii took a year,but because I wasn't aware of these types of videos. I felt the energy before it came,it was a "go there" and I went and got the wii. The gift cards/checks were instantly after I saw/wanted them.

You believe that the universe has a life, even though it did not communicate with you. By getting a wii, does not necessarily mean that the system works. @TheAstonMartian Reread the science of getting rich. You might have missed the points he made in it. He tells you how. But it is so easy I missed it the first time. I got it through changing the way I thought about it. Before I thought it was a rich person's toy, that only certain people deserved it and I wasn't one of them. I changed how I thought about it as something I deserved, something I could use, something that could enrich my life. It was not instant, but rather a slow attentive change.
@Rizuzua I will reread it. However, I have problems with imagination. I pretend that I have $5,000,000 from inheritance, but I feel nothing. I am not sure how to heighten that feeling to utter joy. Do you meditate? Since I want a fast result, I guess I really have to envision it.
@TheAstonMartian I actually think about what the money will bring. I don't just focus on the money..I focus on the fun things. Toys, video games, homes etc. The only reason it would not work is that it was not something you truly desired(or you were trained to desire.) You can tell this by if it remains something exciting for you. If you become bored with it it is NOT something you want. Let that go and seek out what you really desire.
@Rizuzua Well, I recently wrote a cheque of $40,000,000 to myself. I know it's a lot, but I grew up with poverty. I do fantasize about the Jaguar XKR, and Audi R8, with a mansion, but it's not as vivid. I desire it, but I don't have it. That's the problem. I don't feel much when I look at it. Don't admit to yourself that you don't have it, because whatever work you've put into attracting something you want, will just be undermined by negative thoughts and energy. Make belief, pretend you already have the things you want. If you truly want these things to happen, be thankful for what you have, and you will attract more things to be thankful for. While "The Science of Getting Rich" tells us to use our thoughts to imagine, and be a part of it, "Think and Grow Rich" tells us that imagination is not enough, and that we have to follow a set of goals, and actually plan the way we are going to become successful. @sleveno01466 Well, I did not read books by Bob Proctor. so far, I only read the classics from the early 1900's. "The Secret to Getting Rich Trilogy: The Ultimate Law of Attraction Classics" is a good book that combines three books in one. I got it from my local library, and the research is well done. When it comes to Bob Proctor, or Kevin Trudeau, I doubt them since they seem to be eager on making money than sharing knowledge. Proctor himself considers the law to be incomplete.
@TheAstonMartian So is that a good one to get then, because I'm thinking of purchasing a book on this subject, and I just want to make sure I get the right one. And, I don't really know alot about Bob Proctor, I've only heard of him through watching The Secret, and reading it. He seemed to really know what he was talking about, and I found him very helpful. I had doubts at the time, I remember thinking "Is this real? Or is it just an idea to get themselves money?", and it took alot to convince.
@sleveno01466 To tell you the truth, sometimes even I am in doubt, but think back about the number of people it helped. I wanted to try it out myself, and then make a judgment. Bob Proctor may be good, but I don't know if he is using all those books to make money, or genuinely help. If you read the classics, you can find the names of businessmen who succeeded by being persistent.

A journal is a good idea. I guess once you keep writing, it becomes stuck in your head, until you have memorized it, and know that it is true. A friend disagreed with me vehemently. He argued the "fate" & destiny factor. Now so much later in life I have to admit he was right. I am having a hard time believing this. I am a skeptic, but am also sincere enough to read, "The Science of Getting Rich", by Wallace D. Wattles. I just think that if the Law of Attraction actually worked, we would see more testimonials from average people on anything they specifically wished for. If our consciousness could create, and bring forward something, it would have happened like magic, instead of someone bringing it to you.

You do have to understand it first. and no it isn't "magic" nor is it just limited to someone bringing it to you. Action is also important. A way of looking at this law is to think that just by thinking of something you want, you will see opportunities that were already there but because you weren't thinking about them, you did noticed them.

I also watched affirmations(magnet to money etc) and got it deep into my head that if I can manifest a wii, I can manifest money. The wii took a year,but because I wasn't aware of these types of videos. I felt the energy before it came,it was a "go there" and I went and got the wii. The gift cards/checks were instantly after I saw/wanted them.

Since I am a skeptic, I cannot fully visualize without a doubt. That's the problem. I want a Jaguar XK, but I worry that I might not get it. The Law of Attraction does not work with everybody, since there are those who come out with nothing. I wish that the scientific community could accept it as true.

@Rizuzua Unfortunately, there is not enough evidence. Movies like, "What the Bleep Do We Know!?" are a joke, and can easily be refuted. You believe that the universe has a life, even though it did not communicate with you. By getting a wii, does not necessarily mean that the system works. I want a Jaguar, because it will verify the process to me. Jaguar's are expensive, and specific for a simple coincidence, and thus are much more specific, yet out of my hands to achieve.

@TheAstonMartian Reread the science of getting rich. You might have missed the points he made in it. He tells you how. But it is so easy I missed it the first time. I got it through changing the way I thought about it. Before I thought it was a rich person's toy, that only certain people deserved it and I wasn't one of them. I changed how I thought about it as something I deserved, something I could use, something that could enrich my life. It was not instant, but rather a slow attentive change.

@Rizuzua I will reread it. However, I have problems with imagination. I pretend that I have $5,000,000 from inheritance, but I feel nothing. I am not sure how to heighten that feeling to utter joy. Do you meditate? Since I want a fast result, I guess I really have to envision it.

@TheAstonMartian I actually think about what the money will bring. I don't just focus on the money..I focus on the fun things. Toys, video games, homes etc. The only reason it would not work is that it was not something you truly desired(or you were trained to desire.) You can tell this by if it remains something exciting for you. If you become bored with it it is NOT something you want. Let that go and seek out what you really desire.

@Rizuzua Well, I recently wrote a cheque of $40,000,000 to myself. I know it's a lot, but I grew up with poverty. I do fantasize about the Jaguar XKR, and Audi R8, with a mansion, but it's not as vivid. I desire it, but I don't have it. That's the problem. I don't feel much when I look at it. Don't admit to yourself that you don't have it, because whatever work you've put into attracting something you want, will just be undermined by negative thoughts and energy. Make belief, pretend you already have the things you want. If you truly want these things to happen, be thankful for what you have, and you will attract more things to be thankful for. I'm only 15 years old, and it works for me. It will for you. I hope this proves useful to you =]

@sleveno01466 Hi! Thank you for those tips. It means a lot to me. However, I feel empty. I can pretend that I have them, visualize, and even listen to music to bring up images, but I don't feel much. To me, I guess I am a person of results. At 15, you must be very happy to harness such an ability.
I have always been the miserable side of the spectrum. If this works, it will mean the world to me. There are so many books, with different variations of it. I wish there was a concrete way.

Your thoughts are always coming things, but not just the conscious, but the sub conscious too. I'l be honest, I don't know how to work the sub conscious, but if you put a couple of minutes into it, I'm sure you'l find out about it. I'l help you as much as I can, but the truth is, complaining about it will make it worse. It'l happen, just give it time =]

While "The Science of Getting Rich" tells us to use our thoughts to imagine, and be a part of it, "Think and Grow Rich" tells us that imagination is not enough, and that we have to follow a set of goals, and actually plan the way we are going to become successful. Right now I am reading, "Master Key System" for more information.

@sleveno01466 Well, I did not read books by Bob Proctor. so far, I only read the classics from the early 1900's. "The Secret to Getting Rich Trilogy: The Ultimate Law of Attraction Classics" is a good book that combines three books in one. I got it from my local library, and the research is well done. When it comes to Bob Proctor, or Kevin Trudeau, I doubt them since they seem to be eager on making money than sharing knowledge. Proctor himself considers the law to be incomplete.

@TheAstonMartian So is that a good one to get then, because I'm thinking of purchasing a book on this subject, and I just want to make sure I get the right one. And, I don't really know alot about Bob Proctor, I've only heard of him through watching The Secret, and reading it. He seemed to really know what he was talking about, and I found him very helpful. I had doubts at the time, I remember thinking "Is this real? Or is it just an idea to get themselves money?", and it took alot to convince.

@sleveno01466 To tell you the truth, sometimes even I am in doubt, but think back about the number of people it helped. I wanted to try it out myself, and then make a judgment. Bob Proctor may be good, but I don't know if he is using all those books to make money, or genuinely help. If you read the classics, you can find the names of businessmen who succeeded by being persistent.

@Rizuzua Haha, no but I'l tell you a good tip, that's similar to that. Get a piece of paper, and write down all of the thing you are grateful for. BUT, don't make it a chore, because then the whole thing becomes pointless. I'm glad I helped, and I hope this does too =]

@Rizuzua Thank you so much Rizuzua. I will try to at least give this a try with my most sincere of beliefs. I usually listen to music, while concentrating on the life I want to live. A journal is a good idea. I guess once you keep writing, it becomes stuck in your head, until you have memorized it, and know that it is true. By the way, my first trial was using a fake cheque from the-secrets-of-the-law-of-attraction website. I wrote it for August 20, but it did not work. I still visualize.

@Rizuzua Interesting method. So far, I already have several different shots of the cars I dream of owning one day. I also pretend to live in a big mansion, but it is vague, and not detailed. I also dreamt up a job with a company, where I do an office job, an one day as we work in the field, I find a spot for oil, thus becoming a multimillionaire. There is a lot of gaps in between, but I use music at night to be more in character. In daytime, I resume my normal life. I wish it was faster.

Dolly Parton's song "Coat of Many Colors" sums up her philosophy- she was born "Dirt Poor" that's why she wrote the song about her experience as a child.
