  • Lol anyone notice the motion sensor light turned on?

  • lol, i like her laugh

  • lol...

  • Did the cow shit in your room?

  • Fun fact: lightning moves both up and down the ones we see comes from the ground up

  • this was the storm from the tornado video

  • OMG! Was Abba Sasha Cleo and Liam Scared too

  • WTF

    Good thing I'm indestructable

  • DAMN NATURE! YOU SCARY

  • Thats why you stay inside durring a thunderstorm. lol

  • 00:7 is that fire or lightening ball?

  • it's begin on 00.5

  • typical goofy female laugh.

  • A very good example of ghost lightning!. In some cases of lightning photography, mirrors are actually used to capture lightning in more detail, as reflections of lightning can refracted slower than the actual bolt of lightning, But the speed reduction is less than 100th of a phanto second. But could be enough for a camera exposure to detect it better than exposure of the actual lightning bolt itself.

  • pause at 0:06 FAST!

  • I love how she reacts to the thunder, not the lightning

  • @kingshadz7 I mentioned several times that I did not see the lightning.

  • sounded like a gunshot......Wunderwaffe dg-2ish

  • OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO

  • well i woke up the other morning and i nearly got strucked by lighting wow it was a close call but an amazing close up view

  • WARNING;This subject matter is not suitable for brontophobics(the ones who are scared shitless towards thunderstorms).Viewer discretion is advised.

  • I probably would have shit my pants...

  • awesome!!!! way cool...

  • To be honest, I'd probably laugh if the thunder scared the crap out of me like that, too. Especially with lightning that close.

  • Whew! I was worried there for a minute. Bless the cows! :)

  • pause at 0:06 to see it

  • WHAT. THE?! AND SHE'S LAUGHING?! I WOULD BE FREAKING OUT

  • @Fannywikstrom95 - hah, read the description - I didn't see the lightning strike until I played back the video. It was just the thunder that startled me, so I laughed.

  • @lostinvast

Laughing is a normal reaction for more than merely what's humorous, but also what is jolting and even graphically disturbing.

  • ive seen tons of lightning in windsor, ON and at night my bro said it was a "cascade" of the thunderstorm and the moon. (it was a mix not cascade and they were pretty scary. D:

  • The reason the lightning is cutoff like that is because of the rolling shutter effect of the cmos chip in the camera. This effect is called flash banding. The senor captures light vertically line by line and there is a delay between the top line and the bottom, for really fast changes in the scene (lightning) you end up with only a part of the image fully exposed as the other part of the sensor hasn't scanned yet or has already scanned. Google CMOS flash banding. FYI.

  • DONT BLINK lmao i blinked and missed it

  • I love that you clarified who the "cow" was. :) I laughed when I read that. Thank you for showing us this video, not caring for how you sound (in slow motion) and for making some of us laugh.

  • AWESOME Video!Have a look at some of mine.

  • justin beiber got hit there :D

  • ITS REAL

pause at 0:05 exacly and u will se it.

    INCREDIBLE

  • ITS FUCKING PURPLE MAN! <3...i love life...tehe...

  • LOL, Is the cow ok? xDD

  • man that lightning look scary when it apperd

  • wow thats crazy

  • ik its not fake but it looks sooooo fakee

  • moooooooo

  • it's not fake. Camera's sensors read an image LINE by LINE.. What you are seeing happens in still photography if your camera can't sync at the same speed of the studio flash. Most digital camera's in still photography-land have a max sync speed of 1/200th of a second. If you set the camera to 1/250th you will physically see the shutter curtain in the image. Video camera's are the same but there is no shutter curtain. We're just seeing the anomaly between TWO SEPERATE instances of video. It's real

  • wow pikachu really hates new yorkers

  • Moo

  • look at the tre HOOOOOLLY SHIT

ITS FUCKING LIGHTNING FOR SURE FOR SURE FOR SURE I KNOWWWW

  • mooooooooooooo

  • "LOOK AT THE TREE!!!"

  • looks just as you say, reflection, strike was behind you , nothing fake about that, besides maybe cleaning out your shorts :)

  • MoooooooooooooooW hahaha i love the cow sound :) Thumbs up for this one

  • ... '~'

  • Uo jojojo xD LOL

  • moooooo lolz the best pard of the video

  • ytr65e5y4euh6ey5y345f54ysv4357y6fhge4g4te!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol it dose sound like a cow

  • LMAO @ when you screamed ....Sounded like you just got goosed

  • did you hear the bronado???

  • o.o damn

  • Holy shit, was that in front of the tree?

  • @isetmfriendsofire i paused is when it strikes and yes its in front of the tree

  • lol @ cow sound in slo mo but wow thats nuts!

  • i was with my friend rob when in my building when this happend.

i was fuckin around with him in the lobby n i said 'looks like a tornado outside hahaha''

hour later i find out it was actually a tornADO

  • Wow you people are dumb to think that is a fact, For one that would take YEARS AND YEARS! Of practice at video editing not to mention a HIGHLY powerful computer to be able to do that good of moding on just a regular video. :/

I agree with her, although the cam was not able to fully capture the the lighitng cause it travles at such a high speed, it was able to pic a reflection of it off of the window. =P

I think you people need to look more into things before makeing a stupid jugment. =3

  • @Jau3us thank-you!!!! You see I have hundreds of videos and they're all of my pets. If I was going to make a video with fake lightning, don't you think I'd have other videos on my channel already that are manipulated?? Even if I knew how to do something like that, which I do not, I wouldn't have the time or patience to execute it.

  • @Jau3us Never fiddled with Adobe or something similar? With the right values, lightning you produce with software can be very real: the only thing is you then need a video with some motion in it, and then placing the lightning and sound in at the exact right moment...

Offcourse, this is real, but not a reflection, but more a sensor-produced ghost-bolt: the moment the bolt is visible is so short, the image starts to travel 'down' the image (try capturing a strobe and you'll get the same effect)

  • @Jau3us So how the fuck do I see lightning at all? A camera CAN catch a lightning. Do you suggest that a window can delay the light it captures from a lightning? I think you are :) How much thinking did your comment involve? Oh, and years of practice to make a fake video? a HIGHLY powerful computer? You know, it's not 1977 anymore.

  • @NatiskRules

Oy, it's called CMOS FLASH BANDING that causes quick motions like lightning to get captured the way it does on digital cameras. Look it up.

  • @Jau3us Actually this would be pretty simple to create :P but i still believe it's real

  • I was about 20ft from a lightning strike...

  • lol 36 is the cow . but that hit my house

  • muuuuuuuuuuuuu muuu muu

  • 0:37 "MOOOOOOO" xD

  • Well I would give a thumbs up!What is the glow, apperently behind you?

  • where in nklyn

  • I gave you a thumbs up for the cow noise

  • Yeah thats nice BUT DID YOU SEE THE TREE!!!!!

  • look at that look at the chimney oh the chimney! xD

  • LOOK AT THE BEGINNING YOU CAN SE A TORNADO

  • In My religion, when there's a lightning it means One of the angels are shooting Demons. =D

  • Did I just hear a cow on 0:40? I wonder how its doing

  • @CreepyLizard it doesnt sound too good, i guess it was hit by that lightning

  • @CreepyLizard LOOOOL

  • @CreepyLizard you just made my day

  • @CreepyLizard WHAT COW!!!!!111!!!!1

  • Yeah yeah, but did you look at the TREE?!

  • @blackbull2433 hahaha

  • Japan handled a earthquake tsunami and nuclear meltdown with dignity. But us american are scared of alittle bad weather

  • @Daproblem187 nah its just the Yanks. ;)

  • @Daproblem187 I'm not, but i agree, when there is a little sprinkle of rain everyone starts running and opening umbrellas, like calm down water isnt dangerous unless its acid rain :P

  • mooooooooooooooo...

  • i added a video response of the same thign that happened to me, just check it out!

  • @LittleKid100 O I FUCIIGNR WEFCRVMJ;FU Oipqcvnjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjwqg4bocrjvbbjrbbjrjvjjjjjjjjjj

  • u would stand right at the window in the middle of a thunderstorm i do it too!!!!!!!

  • dude.

  • Wow, that is scary, even if you were behind a window. I've been driving on a motorcycle through a thunderstorm (i live FL) it scared the heck out of me. BTW what happened to the tree? Did it catch on fire?

  • I caught one once.

  • @ZeBeAsT you caught a lightning bolt?!?!

    he must be god...

  • Brooklyn New York +Houses=Me :/

  • that is insane!

  • moo moo cow

  • lols cow

  • OH MY GOD OH MY GOD DUDE LOOK AT THE TREE!

  • wow

  • damn dat was quick dat happened outside my window 1 day i was like 9 i was shitting bricks lol

  • thats prettty cool im doing a lightning project right now for NE ohio and im looking for the closest lightning strikes ever so if u want to submit this then that would be great

  • Thats really close up. Oh I miss the summer storms, the Winter storms are more annoying.

  • moo to u too!

  • that is a nice tree a 12 seconds

  • For anyone who doesn't understand the reflection, the lightning was out of view from her lense, but it reflected it's image off the inside wall of the lense housing which surrounds the lense of the camcorder, then the image reflected on to the lense of her camcorder causing it to catch an image that is out of place. That would also explain the cut off of the top portion of the image when her camcorder recorded it. I'm a storm chaser, and this has happened with lightning I videoed also. Not fake.

  • AHAha, a cow... xD

  • press pause with spacebar thn 0:05 and its perftect pic of lightning

  • Man, I love weather

  • if you puse and unpause from the start untill the lighting hit you cant see it

  • a lightning like that woud damade your eyes and ears onely by looking at it!

  • Thumbs if you came from "Brooklyn Tornado 9/16/10"

  • @duke5904 I did.

  • @duke5904 haha yep

  • Very very real. Try living in Kansas where this happens every time there's a thunderstorm. The people saying it's fake are obviously idiots.

  • Its not fake, but it is a ghost flare, optical effect inside the camera, close strike none the less but not as close as it appears.

  • I keep thinking the video is slow with audio....then I remember that light travels faster than sound XD stupid me

  • i had a closer experience when i was on the free way i saw lightning strike the electricity pole or whatever right next to me

  • well it's obviously fake because 11 assholes said so... -.-

  • light travels faster then sound

  • You all do realize that its just the reflection of the lightning right? just as the maker of this video stated in both her comment and her description... Also, what have been stated, and you clearly can see, the camera isn't of the best quality. So it isn't fake, really why would you make a fake lightning really? but I think the video isn't really interesting mainly because most of the video is of the reflection of both the lightning and the fire.

  • FAKE PAUSE AT 0:05 you see it is a picture added

  • @Specialer1 as much as I don't really want to entertain this ridiculous statement with an answer, I still feel that you need to be educated just a bit here. Lightning strikes at a FRACTION of a second. Amateur inexpensive digital cameras (such as the canon I was using) are only capable of capturing a few frames per second...therefore, the lightning bolt looks superimposed and strange. Not to mention that it was a reflection of the bolt as well. Now you might want to re-think your assumption.

  • @lostinvast yo bro its only going to be captured in like two frames thats why it looks like it was added,

  • @lostinvast Why do people have to knock down peoples amazing discoverys?

Is it because there jelous of then?

    i just dont get it

  • @lostinvast The lightning illuminated the water drops on her window so it is likely to be real. Odd reflection though. I can see how someone would think it is a fake.

  • @lostinvast plus also i must add that the lightening also lit up the light if u pause it at 0:07 so she cant hav faked it and if she did it wouldent be worth the time or effort so im going to agree that its real

  • @lostinvast For it to look like movement it needs to be 26 frames per second I believe, if that also helps.

  • @lostinvast thank you..... thank you for being educated! most ppl on youtube aren't

    to everyone else

lightning strikes at 2 milliseconds on average

  • @lostinvast too bad lighting isnt purple... dumbass

  • @lostinvast actually,it's not a reflection but a "Ghost image" captured by the optical sensors.Almost all digital cameras(including the old Camcorders that recorded to VHS) would have a double tap of the lightning.A pink image of the bolt just before the white and they wouldn't line up.The Full image in true color is delayed a few miliseconds from being recorded.

  • @Specialer1

    wat are you talken about

  • @Specialer1 no that was real i would know

  • @Specialer1

not fake search up Tornado in Brooklyn 9/16/10

  • @Specialer1 not to mention the fact that the flood lights came on after it struck

  • @Specialer1 There's a fake pause? What's that? ...

  • @Specialer1 Dude, you just got burned.

    That is all

  • @Specialer1 rrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllll defenitly,

  • @Specialer1 This is not fake picture. This is the reflection of the bolt...

  • @Specialer1 YOU JUST GOT SCHOOLD!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Specialer1 Because it looks like a picture. IF you look closely, the cloud was making it look like one

  • i have had a lightning bolt behind my school and we were in temporarys at the time so ppl freeaked out XD

  • 0:06

    OAHHOHOHO

  • ive seen worse... i was driving on a road and lightning was striking close to the road...

  • Youd be dead the radius of a single lightning bolt is hotter than the surface of the sun

  • @callmebart01 lightningstrikes somethimes. you should watch national geograpic or discoverychannel. they have show's about that. (sorry for bad english)

  • @callmebart01 Its 5x hotter than the son, and it only lasts seconds so it technically can't kill you from heat, 90% of lighting deaths are from the 20,000 volts it spits out.

  • @callmebart01 your wrong, people have got in struck by lightning and still have lived

  • @callmebart01 no its not -.- of course its hot but not anywhere near enaugh to kill you unless you re butt nacjed within a few feet your ears sure wouldnt like it but its not enaugh to fry you up

  • @callmebart01 1. she was behind a door. 2. thousands of people have been actually struck by lightning and a good most of them survived

  • i love the way sound is delayed, nature FTW.

  • atleast your head whas inside

  • nice

  • when it was in slow motion you sounded drunk and you had a late reaction

  • i jumped when i saw that lightning

  • pause at 5.6-5.7 it is really close

  • u ok, u were so scared

  • Thats very close buts thats a ghost lightning reflected, it must struck behind.

  • i heard a cow in 0:35

  • tornadoes are very dangerous

  • OMG I LOVE TORNADOES but i live in Belfast so icant see em ='(

  • KOOL RAP

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR Jealous much? XD

Way to make a big deal.

  • What an awesome shot! You're really lucky!

  • yup thats pietty close

  • lol are you sure you don't own a pet cow?

  • I would have shit my pants.

  • the only thing cooler then pruple lightning is red lighting, but it really only happens randomly in like broad daylight there called sprits in case anyone was wondering....and one question what the hell is your car doing on the second floor of your house?

  • that is the most fucking hilarious laugh i have ever heard

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR

Kasas City is barely a city when compared to the millions of people living in NYC. A real severe tornado in NYC would kill thousands. That's why a storm like that makes news headlines.
