my sister was a friend on my zune but after the update shes notthing to me on my zune. I cant send her songs or anything anymore so what do i do? i cant jus add her as a friend like myspace?

No, there's no charge to send a message. There are no extra fees for the Zune after you buy it, unless you buy music or sign up for the Zune Pass.

Jason, thanks so much for this, and for the website. I bought a Zune on Thursday, and probably would have taken it back if not for the forums and tutorials that I found there. Now I have my fave TV shows and lots of music to keep me on the treadmill at the gym. :D

Go to the front page of Zune Thoughts and look in the Featured Articles zone - there's an articled called "The International Zune Users Guide" and there's instructions about how to trick the Zune software.

Are you outside the USA? If so, you need to change your Regional settings to be USA and USA English.

On Vista. Look in the Control Panel and look for the Regional Language Settings. And yeah, I think it's really awful of the Zune team to make this so hard for non-US people. :-(
