To me this film was a miss. Most musicals have original music and include established groups/songs depending on how appropriate it is.
For this movie, it just seemed like they forced a bunch of Beatles songs in and try to form a plot around them like they were making it up as they went.
IDK, they could have done a lot with it and I'm not saying it's god awful or anything... just a little disappointing.

SFF is one of the defining works of the psychedelic rock genre. For a cover, eh, its alright i guess, but it didnt really captured the feel like the original. the psychedelic feel.

Just because the Beatles were first doesn't mean they were the best. I love the Beatles. But due to the fact that these covers are better recorded and the voice talent/reworking of the songs is improved, it makes me like them more. Simple as that. I appreciate what the Beatles did for music. But That was 50+ years ago.

@ChemblieandCheese why?? Why I mean why!? What the hell why is everybody doing comparisons by originial songs and covers(or contrarily)? You all, you can't! we're talking about ART!! Do you understand? This film is not saying "hey Beatles, do you know what, our actors sing better than you did" absolutely not! You must put inside your heads that this film is trying to be narrated by the beatles! without the beatles the film would not exist and so you absolutely can't say this is better than this!

Just because the Beatles were first doesn't mean they were the best. I love the Beatles. But due to the fact that these covers are better recorded and the voice talent/reworking of the songs is improved, it makes me like them more. Simple as that. I appreciate what the Beatles did for music. But That was 50+ years ago.

@ChemblieandCheese well dude, they didn't have many options, did they? They recorded in the 60's. There was no awesome recording equpiment. Now, if all the members were still alive and willing, I'm sure the fans could coax them to make a more modern version of their songs, not unlike these.

@ChemblieandCheese Phew,I thought it was just me. lol I respect the Beatles for their contribution to music that even allowed Across the Universe to be made. I must agree, that there is something about the way these tracks sound on the movie that I too prefer.

@ChemblieandCheese Not offensive at all. I can see why people would say that. I personally like certain songs better the original way, suck as this song, but like, revolution, I agree with you.
