Safer system in Paris (France) Line 14 + no pilot.

Tokyo have similar system to line 14, where no driver exists and they have full size screen doors. just search "yurikamome" and you'll find some videos. they're much like line 14.

this line was built in 1950s and about 10 years older than Paris Metro Line 7.

dont expect older systems to be safer than newer one.
