The whole purpose for disney to buy marvel was so that they could reconnect with the male audience and add a more violent side. For the time being,there isn't going to be a God of War movie.

If you Google God of War,and look in the Wikipedia link, you will see that Brett Ratner who was originally set to direct the film has since abandoned it.

So,a shame really.But, you never know, maybe one day they might resurrect the idea.
