Just got the alternator O.P a week ago,thanks to peaugh "influential" review.The transformation in quite intricate especially on the lower torso portion,had to be careful for fear of snapping any pieces off.Overall it's a nice figure.I'm 34 y.o but still an avit transformers collector. Hey bro peaugh...could you tell how much Sideswipe cost in the U.S? I'm residing in S'pore & it's damn hard to get the alternator over here...pls reply.thanks.

All Alternators are 1/24th scale, Movie Bumblebee was 1/32 scale, the rest of the Movie vehicles vary. You can expect the Alternators to be bigger than the Movie toys in terms of scale.

Well originally the mold was going to be Trailbreaker and since there aren't many pickup trucks in Japan Takara didn't think it would sell well so Hasbro and Takara agreed to change the color,the head, call it Optimus Prime/ Convoy and hope it would sell just because he was Optimus

alternator Convoy/prime has some inconsistency on his plastic color. I would agree that this isnt the best 1/24 molds of any figure and they made it into prime.

try getting the binaltech version of this. it's the same mold.but a LOT HEAVIER.:-)
