Forget Sundance, I Luved it! :) Your idea is pure genius. I think a lot of people really want to do it but once you start looking into it you feel like you have to be an electrician to get it going correctly. Before you know it you are up to your neck in inverters connectors and cables. How many volt this, and how much amp that. Sealed or flooded, gel or what tha heck is AGM?... :) No worries, It will defin8ly catch on. Josh, u rock!
Making *usable* energy is a lot different that watching TV. One is sitting and consuming energy; the other is producing....which is a concept not well understood by those who mainly sit and consume.
Sure, you can make energy with nothing but a solar panel, in theory...but the key is "usable". You either store it, or sell it back to the grid. Why is this not streamlined? Because the process is in its infancy...because it hasn't been worth the effort.

I think the more people demand it the less it will cost I built a system for less than 1000 bucks that powers my lighting and tv 8 to 10 hours a day
