  • Godstar sorry

  • Lol Goldstar.

  • Going to see this show tonight in NYC !

  • this is a story,

    a very special storey

    its about ian curtis

    one of the rolling stones

  • Somebody let me live vicariously through them. Please tell me what it is like to hear this song live. And if anybody met Genesis in person, what was he like?

  • Supermarket muzak. Makes the Lighthouse Family sound like TG !

  • Sound bytes from "Dr. Strangelove" for those of you who missed it-the theme running through this whole album.

  • It's called progression

  • This is an amazing song. Throbbing gristle and coil, would be nice to hear music like this being produced today instead we have a bunch of douche bags running the music industry calling this bullshit they're trying to make us listen to music. I don't care about Gen being a cunt or any other differences they all had. It's about creating something from nothing, and when there's issues within a unit you address them through lyrics and music. Then you come up with a whole new sound, it's called pr

  • nuff said.

  • GENESIS FOR EVER!

  • The vocals on this track sound like Bono...

Has U2 ever performed this song?

  • @AJtheory If U2 actually did a cover version of this maybe Gen and I would actually get some song royalties for it! It is a bit of an anthemic vibe that U2 could exploit.

  • @dangerfellini That's the letter U and the numeral 2...ponderous.

  • An encouraging version of Atmosphere (or Here She Comes Now) ;)

    Splendour!

  • here here berlinrue. 2 yrs later and forever.

  • I lost my little brother to suicide. H e was very simialr to Ian in personality and sensitivity.,. another person too good for this fucking world.

  • Anyone else hear Atmosphere?

  • @CarnisVale ME!!!

  • @CarnisVale Yes, Dave Ball and I did add a subliminal Atmosphere melody on this track.

  • clearly the dislikes were people accidentally hitting the wrong icon. nobody can dislike this song.

  • aww man!! i love this song!! thumbs up...

  • "I C Tears" it was called in a book i read

  • these glance scared me

  • this fuckin turns me on...number one on my playlist....there is a god...amos N camden sc 29020

  • You can sing "Atmosphere" over this

  • nice:)

  • luv this song

  • Today is 29th anniversary of I.C. death.

  • i love ian curtis. i wish i was talented enough to do a tribute for him

  • you are attend in this souls meeting.....what about you?

  • I am glad I met genesis back in 2000 and got his autograph.

I went searching for him after I saw this video in 1998.

I would say, that he is a prophet. But of a type that would blow most ordinary humans perspectives out. He is not for everyone.

    I salute genesis p-orridge.

  • well said dude

  • @doublemandala I wrote this song with Gen and all I can say is that Gen is a C.U.N.T. not a PROFIT.... at all.

  • S/he touches upon Atmosphere for the vocal melody.

    Very very nice.

  • ptv is wicked i love this tune kinda never paid attention before great stuff

  • I heart G-PO and IC

Why couldnt I have grown up in the mid 70s -80s?

  • ahhh, i remember nights of adicic fun with this album

  • i love this track im sure ian curtis would too

  • iloved that man and this song is amazing.

he gave a lot to me since i'm 12.

thanks for being with me 25 years...

...and building a part of my mind.

i'm sorry for what happend to him

    when lady breyer died.

    R.I.P

all my love to genesis !!!

    rue23

  • @berlinrue have seen them live too in the 80`s ...also one of my favorits ...big hug and clear 23rue

  • Awesome.

  • This is WEIRD, too weird for me.

  • Kinda curious, what is weird about this? it is a tribute to Ian Curtis. Dolphins and GP standing there mostly. A few flowers maybe here and there. I think it is a nice tribute.

  • You seen him nowadays? This is pretty tame.

  • Yes I've seen HER now :-).

  • well yeah that is what I meant...oops

  • G-PO is awesome he has dedicated his entire life to breaking apart social and mental boundaries. The fact that not only does he always live up to what he preaches but is always prepared to take it to the next level certainly earns my respect. By going so far as to become androgenous and destroying the concept of gender he is a real pioneer and a pinnacle of open mindedness.

    True legend

  • I agree, it is also quite touching that he did it for his wife. Quite a sacrifice giving up ones gender, regardless of the other admirable reasons you stated.

    Thanks for commenting =)

  • I'm sorry but this thread is hilarious! I think Genesis has tripped a little too much acid. What you pass off as brilliant philosophy is actually drug-fueled brain fry. I've been an on-and-off Orridge fan for many years but common sense has to kick in at some point.

  • If your drug-fueled brain fry has aesthetic coherence, then it's not a problem.

  • truly, it is Obviously so.

    be exalted

  • @DrPhucker Thank you for your accurate insights. You are CORRECT Sir... give this man a prize !

  • @Steeplerot Yeah, right. Self indulgent C.U.N.T. sacrificed his 1st wife and his 2 children with her to do drugs with a junkie dominatrix that dropped dead. Sacrifice... find a new fucking definition you numbskull.

  • i think the word s/he uses is pandrogeny but yes i too agree.

  • @wykydsyx Gen's a fucking pathetic beached whale now. Forget him... move along now... go read a book about real legends.

  • You're both wrong, s/hes neither and both.

  • this is one of the best tribute song for Ian Curtis / Joy Division

  • True. One of the best pieces composed for Ian.

  • @muzack When I met Peter Hook once he was very kind to me and thanked me for writing it saying, "Why didn't we (ie. New Order) do something like that ?"

When I met Tony Wilson, he got nervous and said Hookey mentioned it to him but that he hadn't heard it yet.

  • @dangerfellini I do somewhat agree Gen is a bit of a twat, but christ you seem like a bit of a bitter bastard...What happened? was lady jane yours or something?

  • @madcapoperator Naah, it's just fun goofing on the Twat. I'm not bitter at all, just enjoying myself... ; )

  • great track

    thanks

  • this is probably one of my favorite songs of all time. it tweaks my emotional library enough to awaken it fully. well done.

  • Beautiful!!!

  • wicked, thanks

  • ah the memories both good and nonexplainable. thanks for the vid.
