  • Get your games out of the closet. Make them less gay with Game Genie.

  • Now you're playing with power! Game Genie power. Grant us three wishes, oh great genie!

  • from galoob!

  • thats one bendy door

  • I wish I had that many old NES games in my closet I would love it.

  • So this is basically the grandfather of the Action Replay?

  • @ShadowShinobiArts:

    Yes, and then some.

Game Genie was based on old-school hex-edit cheats from PC gaming (which was as old as computing itself).

But yeah, GG was the first console-based cheat system from an external source (modifying game data in RAM).

  • Become the ultimate Bitch Ass to the computer!

  • 0:11 thats a really flexible door....

  • @teeheetiti Don't get mad, get Glad force flex doors!

  • @KipKay

    •Where "SNES" Wii Game Genie???

    •Where "NES" Wii Game Genie???

•Where "Sega Genesis" Wii Game Genie???

New "Super Game Genie" 9 or 11 Codes!!!

  • The beginning of the commercial is eerie when it said cast to the closet. It's like it saw the future of the game genie. lol.

  • So... by removing a portion of the challenge you make the games new again..

Hm. Never thought of the flawed premise but really it does make sense. One could argue against it saying that cheating is wrong. That's fine, except that we're talking about the games which had you battle against a computer that would NEVER play fair. Why should you when it refuses?

  • HAAAAAAAXXXXX!!!!

  • @johneymute -> Actually, Nintendo DID sue Galoob at one point.

    Wiki it, it's all there.

  • they tried to sue galoob but what galoob was doing was perfectly leagel unlike sega they accepted galoob and the game genie

  • who dit ever know that even companny's making unlicensed games or game cheat systems dare to commercialize their products.

or maybe even advertizing copier units.

what will nintendo, sega etc,, thinking, dit they not used lawsuits against them?

  • OMG im gonna live forever with this

  • Ah yes. The early 90's. The good ol' days....

  • @blackwingangel04 you clown the nes was made in like 1979

  • @ihackulo Try 1984 dumbass. And the Game Genie came to light in the early 1990s.

You're thinking of the Atari 2600, which was released in 1977.

Try researching on Wikipedia before calling someone out. You won't look so stupid.

  • @blackwingangel04 Researching on Wikipedia. That in itself looks stupid.

  • @Dungeon287 Better than researching out of your ass.

  • @blackwingangel04 Hmm, I assume you're either a Wiki-fanboy, someone attempting to troll, or just someone who's stupid. I'd probably go with all 3.

  • @Dungeon287 Believe whatever you want to, kid.

  • @blackwingangel04 Mate, if I was a kid I wouldn't say that Wikipedia is a reliable source for information.

  • @Dungeon287 I never actually said it WAS reliable. Just that it's better than nothing. The other guy pulled his argument straight from his ass, with no source. Mine had a source. Shaky, but existent. A lie with a source always trumps a truth with no backing.

  • @blackwingangel04 When you said "research", that's pretty much saying that it's automatically going to be reliable.

  • @Dungeon287 Ok, and your point?

  • @blackwingangel04 My point is that you implied that Wikipedia is reliable when you're trying to be a smartass to someone.

  • @Dungeon287 And my point is, it isn't amazingly reliable, but it's better than what he had. And I don't have to "try".

  • @blackwingangel04 I don't think it really matters. He was probably just saying shit off the top of his head, and since you're the genius here, maybe you should have thought that as well.

  • @Dungeon287 I knew that. I also knew he was wrong. Thus, I corrected him.

  • @blackwingangel04 But by bringing up Wikipedia, that's pretty much saying that you're a fellow dumbass who has to use the worst site for research.

  • @Dungeon287 I didn't "have" to. Convenience =/= necessity. This conflict did not warrant more thorough research.

Not that I give a shit what some random fag from some far reach of the internet thinks. Just thought I'd clear it up for you.

  • @blackwingangel04 Wikipedia may be convenient, but if I was trying to actually prove a point with a reliable source, I'd spend a few extra seconds to do so. But hey, if you want to be lazy and not type a few extra words, that's cool with me.

  • it says 1992 at the begining of the commercial

  • the dude at the end's a noob
