Hi, I am ballroom teacher ISTD-cert. In the early 90's Canadians invaded the scene pushing the envelope of classic Ballroom Dancing & started winning international competitions (Intl Style). Young Russians took notice, many already athletes in other disciplines (ballet, gymnastics...). 10 y. later they brought more physically challenging figures & started winning comps. Ck results of OHIO Star Ball 2010 under 21yo 90% of finalist are Russians in all dances, all styles Intl & American
