Thanks for this so-basic yet awesome tip, Jerry. My instructor never taught me this and I am having such trouble with the slalom. I think I know now why that is, after watching this video. Now I am sure with practice using your tip, I can ace the slalom! Thank you very much, Motorman!
@Tigadee00 you're welcome. You must master the clutch/throttle technique or you'll forever be having troubles at slow speed maneuvering. Just takes practice. Remember, clutch, throttle, a little pressure on the rear brake and of course, keeping your head and eyes UP.
Yes, clutch, throttle and light pressure on the rear brake while making slow speed turns and maneuvers. Watch the video over and over, you will start to understand it is basically three easy techniques along with your head and eyes. Practice is the key.
@motorman857 I thought just to use the clutch only, because on the video this guy rides the bike with the clutch only and his right hand is not touching the accelerator.
@UFOENGINE I am the guy in this video and you've got me confused. Are you saying I'm not using the throttle? Watch it again, I explain the friction zone, throttle and light pressure on the rear brake.
@motorman857@motorman857 In that case I'm very glad that I'm talking directly to u Jerry. :) Well, I have learn to ride like a pro, & I was confused at the beginning because when u r explaining the friction zone firstly u r riding with the throttle, then ur right hand is in the air while the other on the clutch and u r saying, 'this is all done with the power of the clutch'. That's why I thought like that. But now it's clear to me, u r using throttle constantly, clutch and rear break.
I have bought learn to ride like a pro V, and one thing is unclear to me, when it says steady throttle at slow speeds, using the friction zone, that means to stay on that friction zone while gently pressing the rear brake and GIVING A CONTINUOUS THROTTLE AT LOW RPM, right?
