Sadly I think history isnt something that is thought in Amercian schools, for all amercians please google Charles Babbage the inventor of computing that in 1822 started designing and building a difference engine that could process 31 digit numbers, far more than pocket calculators can do these days.

As for what the US was doing in 1820, well whatever they were doing, computing was not one of them.

LOL I would have to disagree with you on that one. They had a game out in 1991 that was holographic. I think if in 1991 they could do this stuff, then in 2008, well...you get the point. um... first of all, this isn't a hologram. that's a common misnomer. it's a volumetric display. you'll see some videos of one on youtube. so far, forming such a 3d display is not possible using one light emitter, thus rendering this video fake.
