Yes, this is definitely Angry Birds. Angry duck, slingshot, egg, explosives, fortifications...yes. I love it. (Donald was always my favorite Disney character too.)

@DonaldvsSephy Well that's not really true. This was an okay short, ignoring the Wile E. Coyote-streak to Donald, but despite both shorts being about Donald, a pelican and a lighthouse, the stuff that happens and their actions are totally different. That said, "Lighthouse Keeping" is a hundred times funnier than this.

So I guess that means everyone's standards are lower now. Why not keep having true artists who studied their field make art? It's good to know why the animation is shit, though, its because Disney stopped giving a ratfuck about anything other than pushing out a cheap product.

@trsdos Whoa whoa whoa stop there. You can't go off complaining about the animation in this. First of all, this is TV animation. You know what that means? 12 frames per second, duplicate inbetweens, animation from a second-rate studio out in Asia. Animation "in the 40s" was done by the same people who did the feature films, and they all went to art schools and studied movement. All this is based off a model sheet. There's no way you can compare the two of them.

@trollheimer Actually, the animators didn't go to art schools in the 40's. Animation schools didn't exist back then. The people had to teach themselves.

I think this show can be really funny sometimes, but yes, the animation really is an eye sore. Low budget is no excuse for a bad drawing.
