@Zumilas I dunno man, the guy working there at the time said I was the only one to make it, and they took it down fairly soon after. I know it looks like it's possible statically since I almost reach it without letting go, but because it's around the edge of the wall, there was no way to do it (hence my parabolic swinging method =P)
Grotto's definitely my favorite gym, just wish there was a closer one. (It's an hour trek for me)
not really a dyno, as you didnt leave the footholds before you got to the hold, and your right hand was still on the hold as you got the one with the left one
I realize that many swings were not necessary for me to perform the dyno, but its a whole mindset thing, 1... 2... go! etc. The momentum from the swing did help.
And seeing as I was the only person at the club to get that route... the method of performing it really doesn't matter...
That's the entire route, yellow tape box to yellow tape box... I could of held on longer easily but there was no point...
Care to clarify? I have actually done it with both hands now since this video was taken if that's what you mean, letting go completely before grabbing the next rock?
My friend works there so I told him he'd have to make me a better dyno - I'll try and get a clip of that one, its insane. My friend did it first (helps hes 6'2, I'm only 5'8) its a huuuuge leap straight up - Impossible to do with just arms... So I guess it doesn't really classify as a dyno? What you have to do is throw yourself up, and on your way up, get your foot onto one of the rocks you used to throw yourself and then that propels you the remaining distance to the top... still cool though!
ahah, grotto is my home gym (: they have much nicer dynos there than this, but nice effort. u could have done it staticly.

Nice, but you just swung and grabbed the top before you let go. At our gym that doesnt count...

Swinging or letting go...? =S

guess it'd might just be considered technique in bouldering even though its just a starter rock to a finish rock...?
