LOTN is a fantastic story and Richard Armitage performs it with a skill that leaves one breathless.

I've lost count of how often I've listened to the full audio book and am still ready for more.

If anyone doubts his ability to bring us Thorin Oakenshield then I'd recommend this as an example of how he forms a character.

When I read that Richard Armitage was selected for the part of Thorin in the Hobbit I though - great choice!!. Inspired!! I immediately thought of Uhtred & the Lords of the North and wondered if anyone in the casting process had listened to it..

@psychomammy Yes, I immediately thought of Uhtred too when I heard of the Thorin role! A great audiobook and nobody does it better than Richard Armitage. Mind you, I won't let my partner drive and listen at the same time - we'd be off the road and halfway up a tree if we did, LOL! Thanks for the vid - the whole world needs to know about this book and this actor.
