(Correct me if I'm wrong don't read much novels), Light Novels are textbooks that hold very little illustration/images and they are (to simply put it) books that hold much more than storyline and describe in more detailed form the plot and the storyline are mostly narrations, while manga the illustrations on each page helps the reader understand; using the visual images, the plot and the text mostly presents the char's view and argument. IDK does this make sense?

@Anime12160 Light Novels, are basically just regular novels with illustrations, (very little, however). Manga is a black and white comic book. In the series specifically, the Light Novels are the original work, as a result it's much further ahead then the anime or the manga (the manga is actually furthest behind). Also both Light novels and manga are physical books, but you can find both on the internet thanks to various scanlation groups.
