Even if they just popped a shiny new graphics engine like Age of Connan's engine, and then just copied the game over exactly, no new areas or changes, I'd love Anarchy Online. No new shapes or landscapes, just a nice new engine and it'd be so fun and I bet it would draw tons of peaps to it and back to it.

if they come out with another one of this game i'll probably play it but i hate playing a game that feels and looks old. i mean damn i just built a new comp to play todays games. The only new MMO out there is AOC which i hear sucks...sigh im so disapointed. WoW would be a nice game if 90% of the ppl there weren't 10yrs old.

@Kennsepp coz Ao came out in 2001 and does not appeal to all audiences, wow is newer more funding behind it and is designed to be easier then most MMORPG's and is supposed to designed in a way that no matter who you are u will find something u like in wow. But for those particular individuals who have played anarchy on-line to end game will tell you it does kick wow out the park. I have rad post after post there must be something about this game - so I started my self and im really enjoying it!

I don't think I meant to describe that hardcore gamers play wow, nor did I say.. they dont? - why would a hardcore gamer of any1's description not also play wow on the side, if they ARE truly that hardcore of course?

@Jeron1337 well... I fully agree with your comment. just that U said that, any1 could find something they liked about it. I would say that a truely hardcore gamer couldn't find this in wow (anymore atleast) sins they have made the game so casuel friendly with every expansion pack. (when people pug end game withinn the furst week, something is wrong)

AoC wont suck...... its good game.. just abit boring at first levels 1-20 or something like that but it gets fun when you join guild and take ur part in massive guild battles

this is not true, Anarchy online runs on DirectX 7, not 5.

not true, atleast not now with their current engine. directX 7 can't properly handle modern graphics cards, to anywhere NEAR its capabilities. DirectX7 uses the CPU to dump every frame on the screen.

when the new graphics engine is released, (Direct 9) we will see a huge difference in performance/graphics.

Wow runs nice on mostly every pc without lag...they made the game to work really nice...it's ur pc dude, 100%, why would they release a game that has like that many lag spikes...

Newer graphic cards aren't using that anymore and are trying (more or less successful) to simulate it.

So its depending on your graphic card (mostly) if you can run it smooth.
