Looking back on it, do you still think the Vostro 1000 was the better choice? The Compaqs of the time, but also the lines of Asus Z and A-series looked way better and was suited with similar specs. This thing looked outdated already back in 2008 when it was new.
A frined of mine is selling this to me for £70, she's had it for over a year but not really used it much, its in working condition, would anyone say that is a good price??
i have had one for almost 2 years now, and they key on it are shithouse, i have lost and F7 get and now the left CTRL key, also overheated playing a game!!
I'll be getting one of these shortly, Dual core X2/2GB ram/9 cell battery upgrade. I do plan on running 3D Studio Max 8 on this in Windows XP, should run just fine. Same with Photoshop CS2. I do low polygon game design so I wont be pushing any limits :P
well the vostro 1000 has diffrent configs i have a dell vostro 1000. 3gb of ram. 120gb hard drive, 1.9ghz amd dural core. well i have a video of it on here
thats like my inspiron 6000 in black, only mine has windows 7 on it and runs pretty good with it

ive got this laptop to and its great i can play many games on it exept the video card is a little disapointing
for the rest its is a great laptop only the battery sucks 2 hours before needing recharge
