  • epic, i have chills

  • I play with the roman empire for 1 month and i conquered all lands.

  • Why is this song not on the soundtrack CD?!

  • esta cancion con las sombras de soldados muertos desfilando atras...

muy buena presentacion del menu :D

  • Athiesm would make the world much more better war would be over good reasons

  • @fredsucksbutt124 You're an idiot.

  • @fredsucksbutt124 war is never fought over good reasons

the only reason war is fought is for money and power

  • @fredsucksbutt124

athiesm changes nothing, you sir are an absolute retard if you think atheists are gonna do any better than what religious people did.

Men, religious or not, only care about money and power, thats the root of all thats wrong in the world.

  • @JohnTheMighty the only way to ensure peace is to obtain immortality

then, that poop won't matter anymore

  • eeeee eeE EEEE AAAA EEE EEE eee eee calzone e___e

  • game music kicks ass !

  • Burn the heretic!

  • The choir sounds from the beginning are exactly the same as from here watch?v=E37mEEZThd8 from the crusader kings 2 soundtrack. (Go to 25 seconds in).

  • @Rheims27 No, they are not the same. The line 'Kyrie eleison!' appears in christian church songs all over the place. It means 'Lord have mercy!'.

  • wow I forgot about this song....good memories

  • Comment removed

  • God, give us mercy

  • my favorite :D

  • @ciadude2 that is a very ignorant view, seeing as it is the duty for all christians to evangelise.

  • Sounds like Enigma......:) mea culpa xD

  • The holy church of God shall prevail!

  • @ciadude2 also, all real men have one. AND , if one is not strong-willed and disciplined, it has a mind of its own that can control ones actions , often overriding the mind ..... leading to stupid actions and sometimes dangerous situations.

And yet... at the heart of both , there is love. Without love we cannot live. Though they often cause us trouble, we cannot live without our penises and our religions.

  • good

  • AHHH AHH AHHH.... AHHH AHH AHHHHHHH :D most epic part

  • @ciadude2 you biitch how you talk about religion like that?

  • @ciadude2 Your an idiot :)

  • What kind of music is this?

  • @DEaThOfAMoRaLISt fucking psychology kind of music. if you listen this lot of times, you will begin to live in medieval.

  • @ciadude2 Well why not? I have experienced the confidence, strength and valor that religion provides. I would like others to experience this freedom as well. I'm not saying it's ok to enforce religion with brute force, but it's certainly worth it to at least be open to sharing your enlightenment with others.

  • X-ray Dog (anybody heard of them) made a remix and I was wondering. Whats the title of the remix?????

  • I'm sure The First Roman Empire create the Europe. We're living their heritage.

I'm not a greek or italian but I believe that it's true.

  • @hitman544 The Greeks technically did, "Europa" is a Greek invention/myth about the naming of the continent. You can argue that the Romans united Europe, but that's not entirely true either, they united the Mediterranean at most.

  • @hitman544 The only thing that ever united Europe was Christianity. And that was culturally, not politically.

  • @hitman544 The middle europe was made by the barbarian hordes. It was a mixture of germanic and roman cultures that made the middle ages and everything eventualy.

  • @hitman544 but hey wanted all for them self

  • @hitman544 The Europe we live in today is really it's own political entity which broke off from the old order at around 1789 in the French Revolution. We really just live in that Europe now. The Roman Empire did make contributions to this obviously, but then again so did Christianity and the migratory tribes who created the nations we now know today (France with the Franks, Anglo-Saxons with England)

  • @fistfulofknowledge

The Europe we live today has exactly the same moulds the Roman/Greek Empire created,

Every single aspect of todays society, as in, politics, education, entertainment, sport e.t.c can be mirrored back to the Roman time.

There was a really good show on HC that used to make these comparisons, and they were endless. The Roman Empire only left some contributions? Hell, WE ARE LIVING in a tecnologic advanced Roman Empire.

  • @JohnTheMighty Todays culture has largely resorted back to Greco-Roman culture, a phenomenon starting around the enlightenment. A good book on it is 'Full circle' by Ferdinand Mount.

I'd still say that ideas of liberal democracy, capitalism, secularism, the geo-political map, and the current power balance mainly came out of the French and Industrial revolutions rather than Greece and Rome, although they certainly influenced it. Of course nothings as neat as that, but being general.

  • @hitman544 ur absolutely right my friend, but I think that there was only one roman empire, so u dont need to say first

  • @hitman544 Well I live in a place that was not part of the Roman empire (North of the Rhine) so I am not living their heritage. I'd be living the heritage of the Holy Roman Empire.

  • @hitman544 no shit sherlock -_-

  • @SlyNicolai Stone henge has been around since like, before rome... if I recall correctly, it's one of the oldest things in the world, built by tribes that left barely any trace.

  • Europa - a land of total war.

  • We europeans are awesome!, ofc we have in the past benefited from the suffering of people from other continents. but in those those days most people were barbarian and our ancestors were the best ones, is it not possible to feel a little sense of pride? :)

  • @GPunktmod pride that our ancestors were primitive shit slingers who wore pelts?

  • @TwistedComplex shitslingers which built cathedrals and forged swords.... without electricity.

  • @gorfaf88 built cathedrals? so what? the colosseums the romans built will last 5 times that of any cathedral

Romans had superior armor, military tactics, infrastructure, you name it. it's no surprise the second that the roman empire collapsed, we were slung into the dark ages.

thats what i never understood. the world cheered when the roman empire collapsed ignoring the fact that they were being delivered to the darkest period in human history.

  • @TwistedComplex you're right, the entire medieval age was a dark age

  • there anyway to do download this song?

  • @TheStonewall117

take filewiggler and you will have this song on your pc.

open filewiggler, type in the URL (or copy and insert it), choose the format (i prefer mp3), type in your e-mail and they will send a link to download the song, and when you choose mp3, you can open the song with the windows media player.

    i hope i helped you :)

  • @Oesterreich1156 Wow, first time someone on Youtube have given me any useful advice: Thank you! Hope this always works for me.

  • I personally think that Medieval 2 Total War is better then Rome Total War, because that religion and all that have much more to say for what happend in the world around you, and that is very dynamic and the history that one can go trough while playing is fantastic. But again, a Rome 2 Total War would been awsome :P

  • Ooook, this sounds very.....i dont know, awesome, but there was one remix with this by X-Ray Dog, but I dont remember it.

  • watch?v=T5bgZEpKf0Q A Renaissance composition based on this Kyrie ;)

  • A polish rebel army of about 500 men marches through the foggy forrests of Lithuania, when they suddenly spot something. Suddenly, a huge army of gothic knight appear from the woods, on their black horses, closing in. The polish rebel army form a square formation, and watches while more Gothic Knights appear from the forrest.. "At least 1000, sir.." The polish captain looks over to the soldier. "May god be with us.. CHARGE!"...

  • @balderrobot1996 and whats this supposed to mean?

  • @Zanator1 its means that the polish got fucked

  • @balderrobot1996 HA! xD

  • @balderrobot1996 1) Why rebel polish?

    2) Why did they got fucked? I won many times against double my numbers

    3) Why did they charge? Its not logical to charge when you are inferior in numbers... Statistically, you would need at least 1.5 the amount of your enamy's tropps to mount a succesfull assaul over static lines

    4) What does this have to do with the song?

  • @Zanator1 1) Because i said so.

    2) Leather armor, not trained, farmers.

    3) They had no choice.

    4) ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh you won.

  • @balderrobot1996 1) Yeah, but why polish?

    2) a) I battled a rebel polish army made compleetly of polish knights.... b) Polish peasants are very good fighters, they are the best peasants in the game...

    3) There is allways a choice... They were atacked, not atacking....

    4) Thanks.....

    5) I would be glad to get rid of the rebels off my lands of Krakow, they are nothign but trouble to my benevolent regime, so God help me, not them!

  • @Zanator1 1) O

    2) M

    3) G

    4) STOP

    5) IT

    *WARNING: BRAIN MELTDOWN IN PROCESS.*

  • @balderrobot1996 1) W

    2) H

    3) Y

    4) ?

    *WARNING: EMINENT DEATH BY LAUGHTER*

  • What I imagine when I hear this song: 2 armies of scared, hungry men, being marching down a foggy plain, towards eachother. No one has the same weapons or armor, all have just one goal. They must kill the other because they have to. In their minds only one thing: "God, give me mercy"

  • I think i abused the replay button.........

  • About what they are telling or doesnt it mean anything

  • The strong stench of trolls is present within the comments.

  • i remember firing up M2TW for the very first time, and I heard this song.... now my room still smells of piss after about 5 years

  • @jeanmarc87 HAHAAHAH LOL

  • @jeanmarc87 my ass lol but funny comment

  • @jeanmarc87 I don't get it. Do you have a disfunctional bladder and can't hold it in?

  • That main song i epic i hear it when i going to attack the people on the fields :9 so epic :o

  • pls i want fuul music like this kind of music

  • haha

  • @Temtimtom white nigga u just went full retarded.

F**k, i just broke the christian swearing law. Im going to hell now.

    GODBAI'

  • THIS IS A CHRISTIAN VIDEO, YOU ARENT ALLOWED TO SWEAR HERE, OR U WILL GO TO HELL

  • @balderrobot1996 This isn't a Christian video. This is a youtube video, and youtube is not Christian.

  • @tvpnbb Yes it is, :D

  • @balderrobot1996 No it isn't, :P

  • @tvpnbb Yes it is, :D

  • @balderrobot1996 This is gettinf ridiculous :P

  • @tvpnbb Yeah, :D

  • People is talking about the bible and jesus crist and god. Its a fucking theme song viode, what do jesus and god have to do with this

  • The beginning of this was first used in Ergo Proxy anime. Did they actually steal part of the melody?? I thought it was the other way around but no..

  • ฮ่าๆๆๆ มันพูดว่า คีรียเอ อีเยอีโซน

  • @ciadude2 the problem is, the religion themselves requires the believer, especially in christianity, to evangelise i.e. to spread the faith, it is one of the most important duties.

  • Epic!!!

  • DEUS VULT!

    FOR ENGLAND!

  • grigalic choir

  • @ciadude2

Also, don't shove it down your children's throats :)

  • @ciadude2

somehow that makes total sense, though i think it's a bit degrading to people who are zealots to their religion. Comparing it to a penis xD

  • name of the original song??

  • @PattonZIPPO GTFO faggot how dare you mention that name in this holy place

  • i was listening to some music and having myself some beer and i turned on the song from Medieval 2 called "Amen". it was so wonderful... no way i would prefer listening to (in my opinion) shit music like "lady gaga" and rap..

  • I love it , its just so great , bringing all the glory and ungloryness of medieval ages... really poweful music

  • i like Orthodox chants especially Serbian Orthodox Church chants like PSALM 135... great game indeed

  • @gorfaf88 Damn straight

  • @gorfaf88 and thanks to capitalism and communism.... monarchy is what europe stands for! true greatness, conquerors of the world!

  • @gorfaf88 As an in game quote says : War is delightful to those who have had no experience of it. Go die both you and your EUROPA, a land of barbarians and slayers and warmongers whos actions have shaped the world into the piece of shit it is now.

  • @trabaloukas oh here we go again, we evil white guys who are responsible for the rest of the world of being retards.... old excuses. And of course, nbody said war was cool, just that sometimes, to defend what you love, you have to make it. today i see europe taken over because my people have become too braindead and "pacifist" to react in the face of an invasion.

  • @trabaloukas srry for sacking rome, the world would've been different if that had never happened

  • @trabaloukas Blame Greeks. They started Europe.

  • @IrianZamJaya rofl!

  • @gorfaf88 My ancestors were Norman/English/Scottish. I will not let my children forget about our homeland.

  • @gorfaf88 that's what the norway killer said before he killed 73 people.

  • @MegaCrazydutchman what about the thousand people killed each day by islamist thruough the world? We're a bit on a low score, anren't we?

  • @gorfaf88 now you're confusing islamists with al-qaida and the taliban

  • @MegaCrazydutchman

I swear there isnt a single video on youtube that doesnt have a racial debate/hate speech/ my country is better than yours speech on it. Shut up. Listen to the music. Argue on twitter or facebook where you belong.

  • @MegaCrazydutchman the guys who burn cars in the streets of France, who attack white people for a cigarett and rule the streets aren't talibans or al quaida. But they always refer to themselves as "muslims" and are proud to "fuck our country up" because we have become too weak to recognise an invasion when we see one. Instead of playing history games, make history yourself, by defending your country and your communauty. Unless you're just another coward, like most europeans today....

  • @gorfaf88 and how is this not racist?

  • @BrianCaramore the point is not about being racist or not. There are things being fare worse than being a racist. Being a traitor, or a coward is much much worse. If you can stand seing europe going down without feeling anything, if you can watch a nation reject its past and destroy everything its elders built, i'm really not the guy to speak to. We are dying of our own people's sheepish stupidity.

  • @gorfaf88 agreed.

  • @gorfaf88 and how is this not racist?

  • Somehow, someday I hope the Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches will find unity once more.

Anyways, This game is awesome, it looks great and it plays even better, if I'd put it on my top 10 games it'd be right up on the list (probably tieing with Rome Total War, World in Conflict and Company of Heroes)

  • @tankhunters Damn straight. Though the catholic church has gone too far into its own self importence to every do that. I think the Orthodox and Protestants are more likely to.

  • @tankhunters I hope that one day people will leave fairy tales in the past and get on with the facts and science of the universe.

  • @Brendan1246 Matters of faith are not fairy tales, $cientologist. Tell me, is there something wrong with worshiping something/someone who's existence has not yet been proven and be a man of science and the universe? I don't think so.

  • @tankhunters Faith is fairy tales because it was made by man. Look at the 10 commandments, the first few are for god only, according to God a women is like an object and should not be coveted. Obviously made by men considering "God" thinks of us all equal but treats a women like this. Or in another case how the Quarran says to kill infidels, that's not cool.

  • @Brendan1246 Yeah, and your grammar make it blatantly clear that you are an uneducated brute who knows almost nothing of what he's talking about. And the last time I consulted with one of their scholars Jihad just means "struggle" not "kill teh so called infidels for lulz". And another thing, the Bible also championed equality last time I checked.

  • @tankhunters Yes call me names in the hope to make yourself look better. Jihad does not just mean struggle, it's struggle to preserve ones faith, which can involve killing on the extreme level. And you could view the bible as "championed equality", though you obviously didn't read my last comment before this.

  • @Brendan1246 Yeah, and you're just an idiot, period.

  • @tankhunters Yeah side step the argument because you have nothing logical left to say. Win.

  • @Brendan1246 Fools, stop fighting. Stop and listen to the grace of Total War....

    Grammar is not wisdom.

Everyone has the right to believe what they want.

Religion could be true or it could not be, there is no 100% proof of either. Until then, STFU.

    RAmen. Hail FlyingSpaghetti Monster..

  • @Hyzoran who gives two shits about peoples beliefs, lts a free world. Blessed be thy name FlyingSpaghetti Monster.

  • @Hyzoran Whatever, long as you believe in something ('cept that gay girl-voiced wanker) and don't dis other's faiths you're fine by my book.

  • @Brendan1246 Not quite, remember you said preservation through killin'? Yeah, no, one of my friends said that if you kill one any one person it's like you've killed everyone on Earth, no exceptions, even if you're in a state of holiness (or Ichram don't know the spelling) didn't mean that you were exempt from it. And with the woman, it isn't brought up anymore by anyone with a big enough brain, know why? times changed bro, if they didn't we'd still be riding horses or you'd be in a Seminary now!

  • @tankhunters Exactly times have changed, so people should give up some thing that is over 3000+ years old.

  • @Brendan1246 lol get pwnt n00b Lulz

  • if any one feels like doing the impossible, the hardest faction to win in medieval 2, .. pick Russia, ... just fighting to the west and with your poor financial state is a fukn nightmare not to mention the freakin mongol hords and timiruds that come into play next.. but i won!!! i fucked the mongols though lost many many troops and destroyed timiruds as well, i swear to you, the battle against timiruds vs. russia looked like the lords of the rings scene when horses charge the super-elephants!!!

  • Catholics Rock!!!!

  • Man, too bad those times are over.

  • im going to church beautiful music inspired me great game now is my #1 game, this change my life and now i want to live in europe.

  • Link to download this music plz plz plz

  • As much as I love this music and most of the epic Total War Series soundtrack in general... in my humble opinion, none of it stands up to the Baldur's Gate series.

  • Sound's like a slaves song!

  • @JULIANZ47647 slaves?

    maybe slavic ...

  • @pulanceyt Yeah man, slavic,a im russian,in ancient Russia and in all modern Orthodox Churches many songs like this one

  • @RFlauncher1 i am orthodox too

  • @pulanceyt Where are you from=)

  • the real title of this song is Amen

  • @GPunktmod

Congratulations, you have succeeded to make me laugh at your ridiculousness.

  • @GPunktmod Fag

  • @GPunktmod That......Is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard....Why the fuck would you come to a video about music from a Medieval game and say "Eminem is better"? Where's the logic in that? Because frankly I don't see it.

  • @ELcapalla2 '

    Troll.

  • @GPunktmod The only thing I can say to your comment is this: LOL

  • This soundtrack, Rome Total War and Napoleon Total War are by far some of the best soundtracks to date!

  • Jeff van Dyck genius musician!

  • Dude they should SO make a Rome II Total War!

  • @NeoTheo9 yea, i agree with u, but this time with ship battles like in empire TW, lol, u imagine the ships crashing with each other? like in BEN HUR, wtf im just kiding.

  • @EV1LDRAG0N Ben Hur was a baddass movie.

  • Were can I download this! its not on the sound track!

  • Cruise953 Hey in masoo download.com

  • @cruise953 Thanks, I'll check it out.

  • @nhall022 Jeff Van dycke has them available on his website. This track is titled 'Time and Again', HTH.

  • Game that I can play forever... :D

  • Great music, I love it... and in background soldiers walking :)

  • Comment removed

  • I think this song and "Amen" are supposed to be the themes for the two halves of the splitted christendom. Since this says Κύριε ελέησον and the chanting is orthodox, it represents the byzantium while "Amen" has Alleluia in it and the sound of organs, therefore being the catholic theme.

  • @tsimos4eva

    That's a good call

  • there is always silence before the storm... fits this song well because soon after hearing it in game you usually go into battle truly epic though should be played before every major battle lol

  • i cant seem to find one of the mobilising tunes here on youtube... it sort of started off with a 1/2 beat on some big drum. pity.

  • They say "Kirie Eleison" that means in Greek "Lord Give us Mercy"
