so sad to see the remainings if our past slowly becoming nothing more than a far memory... id say preserve the past...as one day it may not be here anymore.

The most moving thing about this is that two of the trees are still there today. They were young and timid looking in the 30's and now they look old, wise and almost resigned to their fate. I can almost hear the groans of their disaproval and the mourning of their felled brothers and sisters.
