This is something for the next generation of videogame consoles! the PlayStation 4 maybe! the adoption of 3D gaming must be tiny! you cannot really introduce something like this midway through a console cycle and expect it to work in this generation! they must be planning far ahead! thousands of pounds for a 3D TV and loads more for some pairs of 3D shutter glasses! They're on dumnut, but it won't get activated when the game is turned on 3D. Only Avatar doesn't work, Motorstorm, Stardust, Wipeout all work fine and activate the glasses. (Samsung ssg-p2100)

Im not sure the exact situation here. This could be an old demo or it just doesnt translate well with a camera in the lens. However when I actually got the glasses on myself and started doing the whole 3D thing recently (July 2010) it blew me away completely, So I'm definately excited to see where this goes.

@pl225 they are a special glasses I think, that aren't just the usal:red/green or red/blue,becose they mix all the colors, so, you always can see, I only tested them once, and I think it's a lot better then I expected since when somebody is going to punch you or shoot you, you really think that they gonna do it, it is kinda like a dream, you think it is going to happen, but it will not, i remember the 1st time i scared myself since one guy was trying to punch "the camera", and I dodge the punch

the glasses aren't of any particular color. they are polarized glasses, and the tv or monitor, dunno, can display polarized images, each one with different views, so each side of the glasses shows only one perspective. then, when you wear the glasses, you get "tricked" by the different visions, and you can see 3D without losing some shades of colours like when you wear 3D color glasses.

but while these samsung 3d shutter glasses will work with other 3d ready tvs, they obviously made them for their line of 3d ready dlp tvs so when Samsung discontinued their dlps because they wanted to concentrate all on flat screens, they discontinued the 3d shutter glasses.

for ppl looking to play this game in 3d and other content that is available or will come out for a reasonable price, I would say just get a mitsubishi dlp tv and then get any of the many 3d shutter glasses tha are available

polarized 3d like in the theatre is actually not as good as 3d used with shutter glasses and its much more expensive to make tvs that are polarized 3d ready.

also these samsung 3d shutter glasses the guy is using in the video are not the only ones. there are many others and all diff prices from $50-$600.

its amazing how ppl are so clueless about 3d in general. seriously please just read up on current 3d. its not anaglyph with the colored glasses and its not only in new super expensive tvs. this samsung tv used in this video is from 2007 and wasnt' even expensive when it came out.

sadly samsung did discontinue their dlps but lots of still have them and most Mitsubishi dlps which you can still get are 3d ready.

The story is good but the game play isn't.. This has annoyed me with games through out the years. If they would focus on making the gameplay more smooth and controlled it would be amazing. Also I'm a fan of 1st person as it makes the game feel better and more real.

@Amscher No no no this is stereoscopical 3d, i'd brush up on the wiki if I were you. First you need to be sure your TV comes with 3d capabilities, every new dlp is 3d, and most new plasma's are,(samsung is pushing this). Then you'll need the Samsung SSG1000 3d accessory kit. comes with glasses and a 3d emitter (to sync the glasses). google the glasses kit to read more about how it works, i don't own avatar or a 3d tv, so i can' t speak from experience.
