Emil Sitka is the highlight of this one. He was going to replace Larry after Larry stroked out, and I've seen photographs of Emil, Moe, and Curly Joe with Emil's hair poofed out. He would've been great. I love Emil Sitka.
It's odd that, before joining the Stooges, both Joe DaRita and Joe Besser had their own Columbia shorts, as did Shemp Howard while his brother Curly had taken over his slot as 3rd stooge when he went solo (after Curly stroked out from cumulative head blows, Shemp stepped back in for the sake of his other brother Moe and Larry Fine).
@eartant -- Yes. Sitka appeared in a number of these wraparounds (see also "Piemakers" and "Seasick Joe"). He was one of the few actors from the classic era to appear with the Stooges. Edward Bernds, one of their directors from the old Columbia days, also wrote and directed several segments.
I used to have this on video!! :).. along with a video of the little rascals.. I dont know where they are now though :(.. All my vhs tapes went missing all at once :S
If they were doing it the 'three stooge way', Moe would have smacked both eggs on top of Curly Joe, slapped Larry with the large bread, then knocked both of them with the tomato can in the meanwhile as the plot moved along.
Ya, he's best known for his line in the Stooge classic, Brideless Groom
"Hold hands you love birds!"
Interesting to note, he was actually going to be cast as a Stooge when Larry got too frail to continue. There's even some press photos of Moe, Curly Joe and Emil. Though this incarnation never came to be.

This is not as funny their Columbia shorts. If its not with Curly or Shemp its not funny. Have Rocket Will Travel is funnier then this.

Hey ! Was that Emil Sitka as the guy at the end? He was a regular on a lot of their old shorts and almost became a Stooge after Larry died.

@eartant Yeah that was him!

@eartant But he became an unofficial stooge. Better than nothing.

Hm... the 'three stooge way' quote is misleading.
If they were doing it the 'three stooge way', Moe would have smacked both eggs on top of Curly Joe, slapped Larry with the large bread, then knocked both of them with the tomato can in the meanwhile as the plot moved along.
So needlessly benign.

Dear JayAnxiety,
The title of the film that Moe,Emile and Curly Joe were
going to star in was Blazzing Stewardesses.The film
never came to fruition due to Moe's bout with cancer.
