  • Only one good thing nazis did in this war was killing americans. I think it is so because americans were killing vietnam people for fun like nazis, so no sorry of them.

  • @axelSpringerRUS WWII was 20 years before vietnam, get your history correct

  • @SCOTTLMCLEOD I gave an example that shows that americans are the second nazis after germany and Italy. Proving of that is Vietnam.

  • Thanks zero. Too bad that they missed. Still, if i were commander, i would of bombarded those beaches until all enemy were cleared. No bunkers, no machine-gunners, no nazis. But...

  • Can somebody answer me this question: if the allies knew that nazis were bunkered in waiting for the invasion, WHY didnt they postpone the invasion itself and bomb the HELL out of them beaches until they became glass parking lots? The nazis had fighter planes but so did the allies. I'm talking a round-the-clock bombing 4 like a month str8!! Allies could of planned a day @ the beach rite b4 climbing the dunes, thats how safe it would of been. Not 1 single axis member. No casualties. Thanks

  • @bocaboy12 The airforce did bomb the beaches for an half an hour straight before the landing occurred. They where suppossed to serverly damage the germans defenses along the coast but in reality they ended up hitting nothing. Thats one of the reasons why the omaha beach landings was such a massacre.

  • im hungry

  • Great job...Simply amazing.

  • To hear present day politicians utter their feeble speeches trying to desperately measure up in some symbolic way to the quality and character of service men and women over the years risk sullying the occasion of remember real heroes.

  • My grandfather landed with the first wave on Juno Beach. He's still alive.

  • It is fucking sick to see some of these NAZI videos all around youtube, saying that nazis were good, and showing respect for them, fuck them! hat country could never be forgiven for what theyve done

  • 1a)

Big thank you of course to all these men & women who fought and died for the liberty & vs the fascism & the nazis !!

& not only for these peoples we see here but also for all men & women members of a resistance's groups & "reseaux" in France, Holland, Belgium, Poland , Romania , Greece, Germany even, ... etc.

My grand-father, grand-mother & my father (young man in this time ) were members of a French resistance "reseau" in the South of France

  • 2a-end)

BUT I notify also after after having read and heard the speakers in this video that they dont speak about liberty for all European peoples occuped by nazis BUT about an INVASION...

The proof that in the mind of several US politicians it was not to release & for freedom who they engage the battle in Europe but to remplace an invasion by another invasion...

  • @cumbas Wow you are stupid, these are combat correspondants talking about what their seeing going on as it unfolds before them, not one of them is a Politician or a commander.......stop riffing history with political agenda and trying to turn it into a grey matter subject, this war was a Good vs. Evil struggle. Those men who fought on both sides payed with their lives because of a Racially motivated mad man, my grand father fought on the eastern front and regreted the war till the day he died...

  • @StrainXv

    ????????

    ...

    ...

    LOL

keep cool little dick and sorry but I never speak with retarded & non-educated guys like you ;-)

    So bye bye :-)

  • It's nice that you have 90 original images of US Marines, however no US Marines took part in the landings except as Ships detachments on US warships. The US Marines efforts were in the Pacific campaigns in WW2. There were 4 Royal Marines Commandos landed either on D Day itself or D+1. One of these, 47 RM Commando received a unit citation from General Eisenhower for linking the US Beaches with the British and Canadian Beaches. Most of the commandos sustained a 1/4 of their strength as casualties.

  • Hi as now a man of just a mere 49 i grew up with stories from my farther and uncles of the "Longest day" and the great sacrifices they all made.

As a mark of respect i will visit the beaches where so much carnage and loss of life took place and replay the stories told so many years ago "Lest we forget"

  • Great tribute. My grandfather landed on Juno Beach.

  • i bet it was really fucked up to be there!

  • its a great thing they did up the're. except you've got your facts messed up. the US 1st div, 29thdiv and 5th Rangers and 2nd Rangers hit Omaha. while the 4th infantry hit Utah. 101st and 82nd airborne para'ad in behind the beaches. the marines were in the Pacific. Guadalcanal, iwo jima, okinawa and all that.

  • how come there was no extensive video of the normandy landing....especially Omaha Beach? I wonder if the Germans had footage of this from their side?

  • The soundtrack is from Return to castle Wolfenstein

  • im joing the marines damn all the terrorists

  • Juno was the second most difficult landing. If you take a look at the defence the Germans had at Juno, the only reason why Omaha was harder is because the bombers missed their targets. Canadians deserve so much more credits than they actually get but the ignorant american dumbasses still believe they won the whole war by themselves.

  • @metalrocks21rapsucks You are wrong about this. Americans have tremendous appreciation for what the Canadians and English did. We are simply proud of what our own did, as well. Estimates are that English had 2,500 casualties that day, Canadians had 1,500, and Americans had 4,700. Every one of those men mattered.

  • nato all the way respect

  • it asnt the marines they were army and rangers

  • God bless them.

    R.I.P

  • Very good video, lots of men died on those beaches for freedom, 2 of my grandfathers died in that bloody war. May they rest in peace

  • Great video. Thanks so much for posting. Amazing to get even a slight idea as to some of the sounds on those beaches on that historic day. God bless them all.

  • Merci a tous! Thanks all of you!

  • As a mere man of 49 i grew up with the stories from my farther and uncles of "The longest day"

I will visit the beaches and relive those stories told so long ago about the carnage and horrors of that day, i will bow my head and remember "Lest we forget"

  • Thank you.

  • Men of valor, most of them gave their life in those beaches, most of them gave their life to let other soldiers to advance deeply the enemy lines, most of them fought the enemy face to face,a great army.

  • Its a shame that we had to call the Soviets our Allies. They weren't our Allies then, nor are they now. We saved a butcher in Stalin, who killed 20 million of his own. Screw those commie bastards!

  • @MrOncethere this is true however i dont know if it could have been done without them but he did escape his atrocities through death without any punishment

  • well said mate BUT without those commies we wouldent of won the war, the russians helped us keep the dirty facists fighting on two fronts ( one of hitlers worst mistakes )

  • I understand your point, but Hitler was just 8 miles outside of Moscow when he was finally stalled by the Soviet winter. I just wish that we had given him the time to finish Stalin off. Than again, if he wouldn't have become preoccupied with Stalingrad, he probably would have made it to Moscow. Thank the lord, he didn't listen to his field commanders!

  • Webb20K and nateamerica, always remember what that great American General, George S. Patton, said, " It is far better to lose battles with true friends than to win a battle with any enemy. There is no loss with true friends because you will always fight together again. There is no victory when you win with the enemy." The Soviets proved that!!!

  • @MrOncethere so very true

  • Thank you for posting this video on youtube ... this, make me cry

  • ussr2581990 that lives in the USA, USSR had their hands full with the east Front, & didn't do anything in the Pacific unitl after the nazis were defeated. Yes, you can compare the Normandy/french 1944 campaign to any campaign on the east Front, & in May, 1943 ~230 - 250,000 German & Italain troops surrendered in Tunisia, & that compares to the number of German, Italian, Hungarian & Romanian troops captured during the Stalingrad Campaign. We called the Axis surrender in Tunisia 'Tunisgrad'.

  • God Bless:

    1.) Stars & Stripes

    2.) English Almighty

    3.) Canucks up North

    Pro-English for America.

  • It is rare to see a shout out for Canada.... thanks. Not for me but for my father and father-in-law who both did their bit.

  • No problem bro. We are allies and I love Canadian girls. When I visited my Canadian cousin in Vancouver there was so many friendly cute girls and Canada is nice and clean.

  • I love Canadian girls too! Seriously though..... comments like yours are appreciated.

  • The USSR was the saviour of the world, to compare this battle with stalingrad or kurk is like comparing terminator to legally blonde.....teehee

  • To denigrate the largest seaborn invasion in history only serves to show how little you know about history. Had Churchill surrendered, the USA would have only fought the Japanese and you, my friend, would be making all your posts in German.

  • Hei, the operation only took place when germany is already exhausted, when their army and machines are all destroyed by the germans! We thanks the russians for the ultimate victory!

  • It is a free world... you can believe that your uncle saved the whole world..... but you would be wrong. If you want to believe that the USSR won the war singlehandedly............ go for it.

  • Great Russian Allies, my ass! We should have allowed Hitler to eliminate those bastards who killed over 20 million of their own people!

  • And thereby condemned to the gas chambers all of the innocent Russians, Ukranians, and others who were 'untermensch' and slated for eventual extermination?

  • Yer so sorry, its rough but we did our bit,so sorry for your loss J.B.

  • spitfirepilot, As marshall Zhukov stated, without the tremendous amount of British, Canadian, & USA aid the USSR may have been forced to make peace with the nazis. Furthermore, initially ~75 of the nazi forces were on the Ost Front, but as Western Allied victories were won and more invasions were successfully launched, more and more nazi forces were shipped to the West and Italian Fronts, so that by late 1944 maybe 60% of nazi forces were in the East.

    today who said THE DAY

    "WAS LIKE A WAKING NIGHTMARE.

THE GROUND WAS SO STREWN WITH BODIES THAT YOU COULD PRATICALLY CROSS THE BEACH WITHOUT TOUCHING THE SAND."

  • thank you very much indeed to all canadian ,

english and US troops for our freedom in France.God will remember peole who fight nazism!!

  • @africanovich You are most welcome! and, yes the nazi's are burning in hell.

    Awful! RIP all innocents

  • @africanovich fuck god!

  • Me too. It's not an anti American point to say that Hollywood etc has nearly erased to allied aspect of the event from everyon's consciousness. My Dad was there: I want the contribution of ALL the allies to be recognised. BTW I find some of the comments ppl post here juvenile & offensive in the extreme: these kids do their forefathers no credit by shouting down others' contributions to D Day.

  • warriorprince1010, You have got to be one of the most biased persons and state the most untrue and vile things I have ever seen.

  • America isnt like it used to be, no respect i hate it

  • Neither Hollywood nor the USA public educational system has ever attributed D-DDay solely to the USA forces. The Hollywood movie 'The longest Say' devotes a very large amount of time to the Commonwealth and French forces. The movie 'Saving Private Ryan' is not about all the Allied D-Day forces as is 'The Longest Day' but is based on a true story concrening a Pvt. Ryan of the US Army etc. Why don't you young British nerds quit stating erroneous nonsense, and be glad you weren't there.

  • grow up, mate - and get your facts right.

The Longest Day spends 3/4 of its time on the US troops (even though the UK/Canadian contingent outnumbered them. SPR is amisleading film becuase it seals the event off and makes it a 'US' thing - the fact is, for many ppl now SPR IS the historical record of D Day

  • spitfirepilot, You grow-up mate, and realize the Longest Day was made in the USA, and relaize that British movies do the same in mainly portraying British troops and accomplishments. Hate to inform that on D-Day more troops, ~34,000 were landed at Omaha, than at any other beach, however, yes more Commonwealth troops were landed on the 3 CW beaches. ~23-24,000 were landed at Utah. You are simply biased for not any reason and want to raise a fuss. So, practice what you preach.

  • where can i find very good footage of the actual omaha beach battle?

  • I respect those who fought along with Americans. They are true heroes. But I have no stomach for those who try to overstate their significance while downgrading America's sacrifices. The world needed America, America didn't need the world and it's problems.

  • 73,000 US troops landed on D Day; 83,000 British and Canadians. The latter weren't just there to make up the numbers, you know.

  • Quite right. The Americans were a large component, but so were the other forces. Nobody could have done it alone. Do you make a big deal about today in the UK? Aside from a few news blurbs and maybe a special documentary on cable TV, not much seems to be said about it here in the US, which I think is an atrocity.

  • hi, i am french and i am originally from normandy and I can confirm to you that 1/ this is an event that we comemorate every year 2/ we have a lot of respect for those who fought and died there (cemetries are neat, flags clean...)

Despite all we can hear and read here on this site, American people are our friends

  • I know and their bravery can't be overstated- God Bless them.

What's amusing though is that the video includes the US Marine Corps's Hymn when in fact the USMC fought in the Pacific, averaging one D-Day invasion every 4 months. The *same day* that the troops left Britain for Normandy, some 71,000 Marines, Army Infantry, and Sailors left Pearl Harbor for the invasion of Saipan. Over 3000 would not leave Saipan alive and (like Dieppe?) I hope they are never forgotten.

  • If you want the truth of what Americans feel talk to my grandmother or grandfather. The ones who lived through those times. My grandfather was shot by the Japanese and then wounded by the Chinese in Korea. Ask him what he thinks about the world. Ask my grandmother about those in the neighbor hood who never came back from the war. You may like those 15 Americans, but did they go to war? They may smile and speak rspectfully. But how many friends have they lost?

  • This is real simple. Once America entered the war nothing would be accepted by it's citizens except victory against the axis powers.Whether the Canadians, British, Indians, ect. supported us was acedemic. Had GB capitulated we would have used North Africa to invade Europe's underbelly. We would have won the war no matter who was with us or against us.

Just like today with so many against the greatest country ever known, we lead with our blood and money. The rest follow like ducklings.

  • Comment removed

  • Uh it's a simple fact, not a simple war. We invaded NA in '42 and up through Sicily and then Italy in '43. We eventually invaded the French underbelly after Normandy. Just like we Island hopped through the Pacific to gain supply lines we would have established the same in Africa. No different than establishing a supply route of protected convoys to GB. We would have gained a foothold somewhere without GB.

  • yes of course you would, the German army was nothing was it, thats why it took 6 years to defeat them, the UK, US, the Russian & many other allied countries armies to defeat them.

    so simple aint it.

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry, but I think Vietnam shows that the US is as fallable as any army and the US trying to land against German armies with superior air support and U boats would not have been possible alone.

Allies failing miserably, what an insult to those who died and had to endure mass bombing, towns and cities wiped out.

Your comments clearly show why the US is so unpopular around the world and your President is now on a crusade to improve your image.

  • The U.S. is disliked because we are not communist, socialist, fascist, ect. That is why America was settled by discontented Europeans to begin with.America's ancestors didn't like the European ways.We don't like them still today.Besides many of our pathetic politicians, who must be diplomatic, and their hollywood ilk, most Americans don't care what the world thinks of us. Stop taking our money and protection if you hate is so much. My money, my countrymen.

  • I don't dislike America or it's people, i have nothing but total respect for the guys who fought and who died in WW II.

It's people like you who rub people up the wrong way with your arrogance and comments disrespecting brave men who died to create a free world.

    Very sad and narrow minded.

  • Europe lost WW2 to the Germans and communist Russians.America won and caused Russia to collapse during the cold war.Now Europe gets to ride piggyback with American money and protection. Those are facts. You don't like them and would rather say we are arrogant.Like I said. Please get your country to stop taking my tax dollars and using american lives to protect your country.Hopefully one day we will elect many like Ron Paul and America can withdraw alot of charity to the world.

  • Yes you did it all alone once again, you didn't want to place your troops in Europe did you.

That's right, Germany forced the US to have bases in West Germany.

I don't say Americans are arrogant, I say Americans like you are arrogant and all Americans are not like you because I talk to approx 10-15 every working day.

  • The fact is America has too many lives and money invested in Europe and elsewhere around the world to just leave. We use your countries for military bases,to buy our products, ect. We fear if we leave you to yourselves Europe will regress and we will be sucked in to another war.American presence and influence keeps things stabilized. The truth sounds like arrogance, but I'm no diplomat.Yes America has many Communist/Soicialist/American apologist.I'm not one of them.I don't care if you like me.

  • No I don't like you or your disrespectful opinions either.

Your presence in Iraq and Afganistan have created an amazing level of peace.

I'm tired of this pointless exchange.

As you say..........Have a Nice Day

  • You should be tired of typing such folly.America didn't asked to be attacked. We didn't like invading Iraq to liberate Kuwait and now here we are at war again. Be we lead the way for the world. We will defend ourselves regardless of what the world thinks. We do it when the world demands it in liberating Kuwait and we will do it when we feel it's necessary without the world's support. It's what you get when you use to do your dirty work.

  • After America invaded NA in late '42, it took 2 1/2 years to finish Germany while fighting the Japanese in the Pacific as well. Was it a simple war? No. But America was determined to destroy the Third Reich and it's Japanese allies, with or without any other countries help.

  • Utter puerile rubbish.

BTW who fought 3/4 of the german army and beat them?

    Answer: the Russians

    Grow up.

  • im suprised that everyone can still argue about insugnificant things instead of remembering everyone who lost their lives and who still live to win the war

  • hello

i am english and i love france, can i get a free lift pas when i go snowboarding please.

    one love all

  • hello

I am french I love my country and my flag!

thank at all young peaples Americans and allied for my freedom

la france sera toujours reconnaissante THANKS GI'S

    sorry for my bad English

  • The peoples of France and Britain are brothers, we will always be allies.

  • Americans went overseas to fight to save the French, something we didn't want to do. Ungrateful people. Hungary? Guess you prefer to live with the Russians, and their way of life.

  • Americans did nothing but prolong the war by their mistakes, and left the canadians and brits to clear up their shit!!! we fly 3 flags in france.... the tricolor, theunion jack, and the maple leaf.... no stars and stripes!!! learn your history!!!!!!

  • Americans went overseas to fight for THEIR country, which was just right. Not "to save the French", and you know that perfectly. Otherwise, they would have intervened in May-June 1940, when France was fighting almost alone. Instead, the US stood cautiously neutral until they were attacked. Please don't spread myths.

This said, the French are very grateful to the Allies (US, Canadians and Brits !) who participated in D.Day, and helped liberating France.

  • It's not all about the American saving the French's asses - the British suffered more casualties and if you watch the end of this video, the Canadians, Poles, Dutch and Norweigians were involved too - this is the type of biggoted arrogance that people didlike about Americans.

  • lol we didnt really want you to come to europe , invade england instead. sh

  • Invade England?

  • No US Marines landed on D-Day or fought in Normandy or anywhere in Europe or North Africa. The US divisions that landed and dropped into Normandy were US Army -- the 1st, 4th and 29th Infantry Divisions. The 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions jumped into Normandy shortly after midnight of June 6th.

  • YOu know i really thing the comments are really disrespetefull STOP THINKING AMERICA DIT EVERY THING im not JEALOUS IM JUSTE SAYING think about it if americas was alone i dont think that we would of wone the 2nd ww

  • GO CANADA

    lol

  • None of us could have done it alone and no one country won WW2, we all did it together.

  • Operation Market Garden.

    AMERICANS WERE CAPTAIN OF FAILBOAT.

  • You are quite stupid. Operation Market Garden was British commander Montgomerys plan and involved British American Polish Dutch and Canadian troops.

    So ignorant.

  • GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

  • My dad Jim LEASK BOTTOM LEFT @5.57 INTO VIDEO

  • I have the privalege of going to meet "piper Bill Millin" he piped on the beaches of Sword beach on d-day. The germans would not shoot him, they thought he was mad! Im so looking forward to meeting him asnd hear his story! If your interested google "piper bill millin"

  • man tahts awesome, true courage

  • Why a Marine song at the end?

  • It wasn't just americans fighting on june

    6th 1944.

  • I guess you missed my meaning, and you aren't the only airborne dude here!! All the Way!!!

  • Currahee

  • British 2.

  • oh my god i was see this thing drops in omaha beach i see this all with my grand fheahers and my dad woow

  • Russian blood, British tenacity and American money overcame the tyranny to secure peace around the world.

  • What about Canadians ?

  • You were with us on that terrible day, our people fought side by side I believe.

  • the picture on 8:51 the old man, under his Rank there is a little "T" does that stand for translate?

  • The T means 'Technician'. There were technicians and specialists in WW2. These ranks were abolished shortly after in 1948. Technicians weren't sposed to be able to give orders or commands but could be made 2IC of a sqaud by a Sgt.

  • Good Video! Thanks so much for posting.

  • Great video.

  • god save our gracious queen, rule brittania. thank you for the anzacs, canadians, free french, polish, dutch, south africans, indians, and all the other commonwealth old boys. not to forget the norwegians, finns, russians. thank you.

  • Is it just me or does any one find it sad and disrespectful how nearly every comment on this video is an argument?? I cant help but think wat any veteran of any of the allies would feel reading this. I show the up most to all of those that surved Canadian,US,UK forces and ppl often forget the great work the Australian,NZ and indian forces have done. The point is it took all us to stop what was going on its just something that had to be done there was little pride to be gained i doubt!

  • and the canadians certainly are not fags. i would rather have them and the anzacs by my side in conflict than anyone else on this planet.

  • my bad i put fag canadians

    i didnt mean "fag canadians"

there should be a period between fag and canadians

    fag. canadians

    LOL

  • really?

  • were any of you guys there? no you were not. so please stop your bitching. sure, the yanks like to take all the credit, they always have. let them enjoy. we know the truth behind it all and that ot was an allied effort. the commonwealth put more into this than anyone. to the old boys we all owe so much to, we thank you. yanks included.

  • I agree unless u fought and died in this war stop bitching about which country had more involvement. i have to say if the commonwealth didnt hold out all of europe was to be lost. but alot of americans died on this day helping to ride the world of evil.

  • great video.

  • Yeah Omaha and Utah were heavly defended but

PLEASE PEOPLE WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE OK?

  • woow k im not jelous?

omg look it up juno was the second heaviest guarded

and that mabye so but im not jelous

and stop acting like americans did everything and canadians did nothing

u fucking americans try to take credit for everything lol

  • um k the canadians invaded juno beach not the british?

  • ooook stupid why dont u do ur research?

oh and by the fuckin way juno beach was second most heavily guarded nopt fuckin utah

and ok fag canadians pushed farther inland then both american and british forces by the end of the day

its fuckin history ...this doesnt regard ur ignorant ass opinion and false facts

and so dont say that canadians did jack shit when they did

    ignorant prick

  • lol, look at the little bitch get mad, Juno was not as defended as Utah, nowhere near, and only reason why you pushed farther inland was because Omaha and Utah were fucking defended heavily, even behind the beaches, that's why Airborne had to come in and take Carentan so they could link up. You need to learn history, fucking faggot.

  • LMFAO wow im not even that mad

im laughing right now cuse u think ur right

sorry to burst ur ignorant ego but juno WAS defended more heavily then utah

ur just saying this shit cause ur american and ur just supporting your own bullshit THEORIES

and ya juno was defended past the beach to

it was a huge defensive wall to protect caen?

which was takin by canadians a week later

and fucking carentan was taken two days after d-day?

    look it upp dum ass

  • judging by your last comment you were mad you little girl, and I aint just saying that cause I'm American, your the one whos just jealous because our country did more in the war then yours ever did, quit being a pussy and, I never said Carentan was taken after two days dumb fuck, it was 7 or 8 days. Quit putting words in my mouth that I never said, dumb fuck.

  • why are u so upset. u werent there. yeah when people think of ww2 they dont think of the NZ Canadan or australia. every man in every uniform for every country fought to defend the entire world from the facist germany and japan. EVERY VETERAN fought and died for all the world americans, british, and canadians and so on. U WERENT THERE SO QUIT WHINING ABOUT IT.

  • IM NOT WHINING ABOUT ANYTHING

im just trying to prove to this ignorant asshole that it wasnt just the americans that defeated the germans but it was a group effort between the allies

and no ur right i was not there..

but 3 of my great uncles served in europe from the war from the start of the invasion..two made it to the end but one had to return because he was shot twice in the stomach in netherlands..so excuse me for trying to say that other countries becides america made sacrifices to

  • You're right, but also take into account that more nations were fought in Europe on the Axis Powers other than just Germany. It was a multi-national effort on both sides.

  • god bless the brit's but you could not od done it with out us/american's

  • ppl never mention the british and tbh they won the war in many ways.....

  • we were there right from the start fighting the nazis tooth and nail and a god thing too.

  • You would have won F**k all without the Americans and other Allies..

  • Never forget.

  • Thank you people!

I did all my best for this video.

    Never forget.

  • Thank you, very courageous soldiers

  • Very nice video, thank you for posting it. My family and I took a trip in 2007 to the Normandy beaches and the surrounding area. I am so glad that we went. To think of what all those soldiers went through...well we just have no idea. Thank you to all our veterans and to those who are serving in the military now.

  • zu wenig allies opfer um helden daraus zu machen

  • is that james earl jones????!!

  • no...that's then General Eisenhower

  • I just got back from Normandy today, visiting all the landing beaches. I wasn't exactly looking forward to it, but i'm so glad i went, i learnt a lot.

  • yea the marines were to busy in the pacific island correct?

  • correct, but they also participated in the normandy invasion..

  • no marines landed on Normandy

  • I'm sorry I didn't have the US Army Hymn.

I haven't much time left to add "Pegasus bridge

action" OK? I've just less than 10 minutes.

  • Why the Marine Hymn? The Marines did not land at Normandy, it was the United States Army. Nice video though.

  • Marines were involve in D-Day, they were used as combat enigeers.

  • Wrong. There were no "Marine combat engineers" at Normandy. The combat engineers who went ashore at D-Day were the US Navy Seabees (Naval Construction Battalions)... NAVY combat engineers, not Marines.

  • A great vid dont get me wrong, but you missed out 'Pegasus' bridge, the first action of D-day

  • My grandfather landed on normandy. he hates to talk about the war because it scarred him. he was a land sergeant. he also fought in the battle of St. Lowe and battle of the bulge etc
