Only saw a truck fall off a lift one time. I was building a trans and happened to look over as the installer was letting down a Chevy Suburban on a twin side post hydraulic lift. He had a screw jack under one side for safety and forgot it was still under there. The truck landed on its side with the front right wheel jammed into the lift arm. The body actually twisted.

had a young kid change my oil once, went around the corner, took out the drainplug, crossthreaded it back in, blew the motor, went back to tire store and got a new motor, haha thanx tire kindom

@Bigfurry1975 Hey things happen in the world every day, I am sure they are not proud of what happened, but as long as they learned a lesson all is good in my books. If the truck owner can find some damage then they should have to fix it. Otherwise the trouble is all in your mind. Had you not seen the incident you would likely never know. They should give you free lifetime tire changes anyways.
I have had this happen in a shop I worked in before. With these trucks on a 1 post lift, you have to put adapters (usually 3") on the rear lift posts for them to lift on the rear part of the truck, because it rises up on the frame. Some mechanics dont use the adapter and move the lift arm down the frame to the level part, and the truck isnt balanced there, causing any tug on the rear of the truck to make it slide off the lift.
@InspiredYouViewer Agreed, if you pull the truck forward far enough sometimes you can extend a rear lift arm back and catch the front leaf spring perch, then flip up the adapters in the front and get the frame at a level point to keep it all even. They should have no business lifting that truck on a single style lift like that- I wouldn't want to touch that with anything less than a 2 post lift.

Tire Kingdon did a tire rotation for me and they forgot to tighten the lug nuts on one tire. The tire almost fell off when I tried to drive home. It damaged the studs and rim. They fixed it for free but I will never go back again.
Looks like the first thing that went wrong was the stubid customer brought it in loaded the second thing that went wrong was the employee did not refuse to lift the pile of junk until the brain dead customewr unloaded it.the lesson hear is never try to lift a loaded truck
@ColtBinder. It is not the fact that the truck is loaded. its the fact that they tryed to put it on a center poll lift that can not reach the proper lift points for that truck. Loaded or not it was going to go down. If you cant get the pads to the proper lift pionts use a jack.
@dagger197 Yes using a center post lift was not good at all but believe me having a loaded truck makes it more difficult to rays and unstable regardless of what lift you use or the make and model of truck or van being raysed

They should have no business lifting that truck on a single style lift like that- I wouldn't want to touch that with anything less than a 2 post lift.

Tire Kingdon did a tire rotation for me and they forgot to tighten the lug nuts on one tire. The tire almost fell off when I tried to drive home. It damaged the studs and rim. They fixed it for free but I will never go back again.

Looks like the first thing that went wrong was the stubid customer brought it in loaded the second thing that went wrong was the employee did not refuse to lift the pile of junk until the brain dead customewr unloaded it.the lesson hear is never try to lift a loaded truck

@ColtBinder. It is not the fact that the truck is loaded. its the fact that they tryed to put it on a center poll lift that can not reach the proper lift points for that truck. Loaded or not it was going to go down. If you cant get the pads to the proper lift pionts use a jack.

Idk what happened but them single post lifts do break there so out dated and not safe. I worked at a shop before and a truck fell off the lift cuz the threads pulled out of the post and the lift plate fell off sending the truck off.
