I've cliff dived all over the Hill Country, here you have to know where to jump once you get to the edge, have to commit or you can get busted easily.

I was there yesterday & I wanted to dive off that so badly! I used to teach swimming and diving & the cliffs were calling to me. Unfortunately, I'm an old fart now (over 50) & can't do such things. Did you bother to check the pool for boulders, rocks, or shallow areas before jumping? Shame on you for breaking the rules; and I say that while vicariously living through your naughtiness (and stupidity!)

I don't suppose you remember the guy's name? I probably know him, and he was probably a park tech, not a ranger as the ranger's don't normally patrol the pool.
Anyway, two things: One, that was really stupid. People have died jumping off of there. There are sudden shallow areas all over that pool. Two, that's a nature preserve, not a park. DON'T GO OFF TRAIL!!!
