No, it is the 105mm rifled cannon that is on the original M1 Abrams. The M1A1-A2SEP have the 120mm smoothbore.

I would think that it's an HEP round. See, HEP and HESH are the same types of ammunition. HEP is the U.S. designation for High Explosive Plastic, while HESH is High Explosive Squash Head. The way both types work are just about identical.

that was an Aco 1-38IN video, mgs commander was SFC Collum, on bad ass SOB, the most combat proven mgs commander in country right now, I wouldn't trade him for the best Abrahms commander, I am an 11B, the MGS is great.

@tankcommander33 I will admit, the MGS, is a great system, has alot of advantages, and in those positions in that kind of setting, they are perfect, smaller, and lighter, easier to get one of those somewhere, though it only carries a 105 it is a formidable opponent. I'd still say we need plenty of Abrahms though, because, lets face it, a Stryker is not meant to take large bore rounds or most forms of anti tank fire.

The Stryker scares the shit out of Hadjis. They call it the "Death Ghost" or some shit like that.

Compared to a tank it is fast as shit, maneuverable as shit, and its primary combat role is anti-infantry, not anti-armor. Plus its relatively quiet.

There are ways to make tanks quieter. I only know two so far, though.

1. Use band tracks

2. Use electric motors, so if your vehicle is light enough, it can go pretty far quietly.
