  • I LOVE seasick steve!!!..Fendermac hipped me, but I admit, I don't know his story.....he's the real deal, that's for sure. I'm a real beginner, but had a start back in the 70s, swing band, of all things ....for different reasons, music was put on back burner....tumultuous life changes and a banjo under a tree at a mountain swap is how I wound up here....the light bulb Lindley moment meant singing and playing simultaneously........again--many many thanks for tuning in---:-)

    Laurie

I'ma detective 2;-)

  • @MissPandora1967 Oh, I forgot to mention,,,it is Revlon lipstick,,,,,the ones with names and numbers they have made the same for YEARS, like "Cherries in the snow" , "really red" "flame" ....not high end, but practical......!! I have tried all from Dior to Shiseido , ....always back to Revlon...

  • @cinderellalifestyle Revlon is good..don't think we have that named lipstick over here...I wear clinique+Elizabeth Arden ...I can't keep lipstick on for more than 10 mins..I'm not kissing either..well you never know..lol..well no,maybe Dylan only man worth kissing..lolol...I bought a new lipstick last week..guess whats the makes called.....Pixie!!!!..lol...xxxx don't think I'm pixie anymore..someone trampled her underfoot..'(

  • Hi My Sweet Laurie,

Very nice tune, I love this rough bluesy sound. Love your lyrics too, and I'm used to love 'em ;-). And again what a voice!!!! Thanks for having your fingers on your guitar and so far away from the Reverb button :-) From the seed of sadness and troubles you've made a great one...

All the best from Paris, I will talk to you very soon....

    See Ya! AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

    xoxos,

    Chris

    P.S: 5*****

  • I had to sing over roughs spots in my chest--an early morning recording, Chris--that's why so rough in a couple spots;-) joyful to find I can override the vid soundtrack and insert better quality audio file...so exciting!!!!!!at least in this case, I could because the vid captures were made with very little voice/sound (silent)--I am still learning, as I go. Blues is not a bad thing, unless you "stay there"...:-) you are my sage reverb advisor and friend, Chris! thanks and XXOS-LLC

  • Hi my sweet LaurieLEar ,and thks for magnifique blues!

  • The Kiss

    From Kadi O Komal (1886)

    Lips language to lips' ears.

Two drinking each other's heart, it seems.

Two roving loves who have left home,

pilgrims to the confluence of lips.

Two waves rise by the law of love

to break and die on two sets of lips.

  • Two wild desires craving each other

meet at last at the body's limits.

Love's writing a song in dainty letters,

    layers of kiss-calligraphy on lips.

Plucking flowers from two sets of lips

perhaps to thread them into a chain later.

This sweet union of lips is the

red marriage-bed of a pair of smiles

  • tis a beauty of a poem, I love your sends here.....I have read more poetry thru you than in many years, and i love true poetry====Laurie

  • Hi LaurieLee, hope you are better now. To write a song when you're down can be the right medicine. But when you do so nice and bluesy songs, you must have more bad days. lol ;-)). Better you write good songs and you are not bad.

Ok, it is a nice song and you have the felling to play and sing this.

    Have a good week

    Michael

  • Hi Michael! thanks for your last comment, I never made it back to say tnx! I think you have described perfectly........blues is something we must have,....thankfully mine don't last too long---life is busy and progresses to the next page, like a heartbeat. honestly, I look around me and realise my blues are quite petty on the scale of reality. tha'ts all it takes to stop mopin' and complainin':-) sunshine and spring breezes, from California, n'LaurieLee

  • That's so fabulous! Great sliding and shuffling and laydown sweet singing bues! In my Fav! That is a fine Video!

  • thanks so much---!!! Boucrate, You inspired me to venture out in the vid dept--I've lovely rocks and trains to work up next......the trains at dawn in the switchyard are a sight to behold..........take care now! LaurieLee

  • Thanks Frank!! All better, yes.I want to see your seeded creation when it is grown, OK? what a neat idea. I began to garden out of mourning, years ago...it is a wonderful connection to life when you dig and plant.----you started me thinking about that--right now other things loom, or I'd be out starting the tiller! :-) Laurie

  • thanks Ryan! You CAN write songs....I got a ton of round about listening to the master, Bob Dylan.....I began to realise much of the time, lyrics are simply common phases, strung together. start with any phase,..the more you write, the easier it becomes....your autoharp will thank you:-) Thanks again--LaurieLee

  • nice video nice song love it
