Higher damage output would be using Fire enchanting, seeing how it is the strongest type of destruction Magicka, and the Fiery Soul Trap (a pretty rare) enchantment.

Does anyone know if theres a limit to how much you can enhance something. I use my alchemy to make enchant potions, enchant better alchemy gear to make better enchant potions etc. Does it ever cut off?

@ahawks221 Hard to explain why but you can't do it forever. The highest Enchanting increase potion you can create is 32% and the highest Alchemy increase gear you can enchant is 29%

@tommygirlmix no you don't have to start over. First get as many filled soul gems as you can, then craft iron daggers and enchant them until you reach 100lvl in enchanting. After this make 4 armor pieces with fortify alchemy enchantment and go level up alchemy. The fastest way is to make potions of fortify health (Giant's Toe + Wheat + Creep Cluster).

You can get a permanent 15% smithing buff from a quest. The effect is called ancient knowledge and you start the quest by talking to some psycho argonian chick on the riften docks. I got my bow to 1408 or so using your method plus the quest.

@sasuke2029 The damage you see is achieved only when wearing a full set of armor/jewelery that gives 47% to bow damage. ie, 4 pieces that give 47% bow damage. Then drink a 130% Marksman potion to gain the 1k+ damage.

by the way you can actually use falmer helmet of alchemy at the same time as a circlet of alchemy giving an extra 29% alchemy boost meaning you can actually make +147% smithing potions ;)

@doujinftw2 sorry forgot to mention, to wear 3 helms with alchemy you need to use a circlet + penitus oculatus + worn shrouded cowl. you can wear these for bow as well but it glitches out and makes your head disappear that's why i'm using the dragonscale.

Also, what did you do to get your bow from 600+ to 1200+? In your tutorial it's only at 600+.

@JonTopping u might missing few important perk such as daedric smithing with daedric smithing when u enhance u enhance it at double the power, then there the bow dmg increase perk. finally drink potion that u make which +130% bow dmg. 28% is not the max btw 29% is

@JonTopping I was only wearing +25% gear in the tutorial instead of 29% and I didn't drink a 130% smithing potion before crafting it. I wanted to get the tutorial out fast instead of waiting til I had another 20 gems to make the second set of crafter gear.

@slicknick0013 nic which version u playing i think it only confirm for ps3 and pc. also try wear the helmet 1st mask 2nd it work on my game play u able to make 135% enchanting potion, but still wont raise alchemy or smiting above 29%, as for other enchant it only add like 1 point example from 47% bow fortify into 48%, it still work good for smiting potion tho.

@Nomads638 562. Unfortunately dagger base damage is atrocious. It gets great sneak attack damage though. I think the base damage of the daedric dagger is 17(?) and the bow is 30 (?). So 17/30 * 562

@slicknick0013 - thanks for the tutorial - been following for almost two days now.....have everything as you have it, but when I create my daedric bow it's damage is 128...when I enhance it on the grinder after smithing potion it bumps to 438 damage.....when I use the marksman potion, it bumps to only a little over 1,000......where am I missing the extra 250 damage or so (not including arrows) that you have on yours? @Near456 I don't think you can stop at 80. The skill level directly influences they amount your created potions heal for /skill up/ etc. But you can verify this yourself. Save your game and create a fortify enchanting potion and get back on here and let us know the % increase.

@Qjemuse You can make a 130% blacksmith potion and 130% marksman potion. The base is 30%. You get it to 60% with alchemy perks. 120% with 25% crafting gear. 130% with 29% crafting gear.
