  • Did you try a 800 4cell on this plane? With a 30 or 40 ESC the plane would really move.

  • Thanks man, you look like a guy i can really trust, plus that plane looks badass, might be getting it for christmas!

  • How many miles per hour would you say this goes? Faster than a Stock Stryker C?

  • Man I just love these mini edf jets! I have a few of them and they all handle the wind amazingly. Once yet used to the fast and jerky characteristics, the fun isnt matched by anything

  • Great flight and nice flying jet! I bought and assembled one of these and flew it 3 weeks ago. It flew great for about 40 seconds, then the impeller disintegrated, also damaging the EDF unit. I've been grounded ever since and it seems presently, nobody has the original replacement except Hong Kong. The vendor, Hobby King, assumed no responsibility and thought they should be exempt from the fact that their $65 product lasted only 40 seconds under normal conditions. New buyers beware of this!

  • How much is this?

  • @05koda This one was purchased from HobbyKing for $64.95 (price may have changed) and is product number: HKM-F16 "Mini F-16 EDF Fighter Jet w/LiPo Battery, EPO Plug-n-Fly"

  • I bought thi smodel yesterday but the vertical stab is So warped that Im a little scared to put it in the sky. any remedy for this?

  • @Mikelaw709 You can try holding it over the steam coming from a boiling kettle until it is moist and becomes a little soft. Then place it between two books or under a book that will hold it flat. Leave it like this for a day and most of the warp should be removed. You can bend it gently the other way when it is softened by the steam if it still appears to be too warped.

  • thanks for answering but another question is do you still have it???

is it runing??? and if not for hwo long it ran?

  • @MrColdShoot Yes, I still have it. In fact, I flew it yesterday. I get about 4 minutes flight-time (mainly full-throttle) from an 850mAH Turnigy NanoTech pack -- about 3 minutes from the standard battery that came with the model. (this leaves about 40% charge in the pack).

  • is this good for a beginner?

  • @MrColdShoot No... not good for a beginner. They fly fast and respond quickly to the controls -- making them intolerant of pilot errors. A good beginner's plane will fly slower and have more inherent stability.

  • thanks for your review i just bought one and a extra batterie and was hoping it would fly well looks like i should have no problem

  • Well it certainly impressed the birds.....they just couldnt shut up throughout the whole video!

  • does it have rudder?

  • Ok everyone I get that its an F-16 now. I will almost allways get the two mixed up. We all will mes up from time to time

  • @flightdeckreviews Don't worry about it, it got me fooled too even though I know damn well its an F16. I believe it was due to the paint scheme I know some F15s come with I guess.

@RCModelReviews: Good to see you flying again in good weather! Nice flying. It seems to me the iMax 9c / FrySky 9c module is working great. :-)

  • @PHeMoX thanks nice to see some people on youtube who are not total jerks =)

Yeah and it was the paint skeam that got me. I remebred the 'flying falcons" paint scheam and automaticly thought that it was an F-15. =) Thanks for understanding.

  • I like how it appeared to have a good glide on it with plenty of penetration on final approach. I think Bruce was surprised since it went sailing past him :)

  • After seeing this fly and the price, this plane may go on the stocking stuffer list this Christmas. :)

  • Nice :-)

  • Awesome review! Great video!

  • Uh that doesent look like a F-16. It looks like a F-15. The big giant intake on the front kinda gave it away. Cause I can remember right the F-15 has the "Smileing" intake.

  • @flightdeckreviews

    Its a F-16 for sure ....

  • @flightdeckreviews F-15: Twin engines, twin intakes, twin tails. F-16: What you see in the video. ;)

  • @flightdeckreviews No, the F-15 had two swept back rectangle intakes and two vertical stabilizers, the F-16 had the dopey smile and just the one.

  • Yeah i got the Sky Angel F86 Sabre and the lipo did come with the model of which i got a couple of weeks ago but no maiden as yet (weather) but well pleased with it the only fault with the kit so far is stock built it is well tail heavy and i had to add over 1-1/2 oz of nose weight ,it 's not just my kit that had this problem as i've read on a few forums that others came with the same problem,so i'd say thats a lot of extra weight to get the CoG right ;-( but for that money i can live with that.

  • Please fix the review URL (/skyangel16.shtml to /skyangelf16.shtml).

  • Very nice. I will be looking for one my self. Many of these EDF foamies are so well made nowadays. Everyone can easily afford one and enjoy RC flying. Being so light as they are, if something went wrong, one could just cut the throttle and let it fall to the ground with out doing any damage or hurting someone :-)

  • BONITO VUELO.

  • I would love to own more of these little screamers. My Rc club is only electric and silent flight, but these are so bloody noisey. About the only way we can fly these is to go to a nitro flying field.
