I both have the Laredo and the Natchez bowie. I love collecting varieties of bowie knives.I have over 100+ hanging on my manwall and glass display.And these are some of brand name I collect.
Impressive but I have one question. Is this the factory edge I can expect out of the box or was this profesionally sharpened before or instead of the factory edge?
CS has some pretty good factory edges. In any case, performance in cutting tatami like this is much more dependent on blade geometry, weight and proper technique than the grit or angle of the edge.
CS knifes usually have a very good factory edge and most of their knifes are shaving ready out of the box. some knifes are exceptions (like their machete series) but thats the only knife i found that didnt have a great factory edge.
