It's an astringent, causing the skin cells to contract. An old favorite, used many times. I go for the liquid method, rather than the poultice. I have seen people rubbing leaves up an down their arm, like a piece of sandpaper. It will work that way, but it will be raw for a while. Basic knowledge, but it's always the simple things that are often overlooked.
@cujomojo2007 - the liquid is way way better than the poultice, but i thought i would show both, either way has to be better than rubbing a leaf up and down on an already inflamed area of skin
can you make a bottle of liquid from a dock leaf and carry it around to treat nettle stings ?
