Thanks so much for posting. Previously I had only heard Kathryn Stott's performance, which I also liked a great deal, but Jean Martin's is still better. Different performers suit different composers; I always felt Stott was was well suited to Faure, but not to Chopin. P.S: If you love Faure's piano music, you will probably like Alkan, too ...

I agree. I'm playing this for Guild this year, and I also intend to play it a good bit slower lol. It sounds more... intense that way imo.
